The Human Weapon

Chapter 1

Mia woke up in the comfort of her luxurious queen-sized bed, she got up revealing her silk pink pajamas before walking into her bathroom to take a honey-scented bath. When she finished her entire morning routine, she wore a white tank top, black high-waisted shorts, and black heels, finishing the look off with a black blazer she left her black hair lying straight on her shoulders. She took her handbag and phone and went downstairs for breakfast. When she got to the dining room her mother and father were already there enjoying a quiet meal while her dad read the newspaper.

"Good morning Amelia you seem to have slept well" her mom started inspecting her, "yes mom, I had a good night's sleep now can we please discuss my scheduled trip to Japan?" Mia asked, "you are not going to Japan Amelia period and end of discussion," her father said from behind the newspaper, "that's what I don't get, you guys let me go to Africa unsupervised what is so wrong with Japan that you are suddenly forbidding it?" Mia asked with a huff, "why not take your friends somewhere nice like Spain or Italy anywhere but japan" her mom said, "I have been to those places mom I want to go to Japan all my friends are going" Mia whined, "what is that you just did, Amelia lawyers do not whine and princesses do not beg or apologize now get up and go to school you have an image to maintain and tardiness isn't the best example" her father said before standing up and walking out. "I am going to Japan whether you and dad like it not, I am not a little kid anymore," Mia said and stood leaving the room as well.

She walked to her Porsche and drove to school where she was welcomed by her two best friends who were waiting in the parking lot, "hey girl, you look amazing, by the way, have your parents agreed to the Japan trip?" Nicole asked handing Mia a cup of coffee as they walked in the school, "don't remind i just had a huge fight with them and they still are determined that I should choose another vacation venue anyway its not it matters i will eighteen in two days and then we will see where I put their opinion then" Mia said, "okay cool anyway speaking of your birthday Eiffel's mom just opened up a new pool and its awesome so I was like thinking it would be the perfect venue to celebrate you coming into womanhood" Zarice said as they arrived at their lockers, "I am not sure I really want a party Rica this all seems too much as it" Mia said as she opened her locker. "did I hear that right or what, the Mia Anderson does not want a party has something changed or is this another stunt to gain yourself attention?" a beautiful Spanish girl asked, "Amira not everyone is out to gain attention like you, besides since when do you care whether I throw a party or not?" Mia asked, "lets face it Mia I am much prettier than you more stylish than only reason I would to attend a party thrown by you would be to outshine you" Amira said, "awesome, the good thing about dreaming is that it remains just that a dream now if you will excuse I have t get to class so do you by the way" Mia said closed her locker and walked away followed by Nicole and Zarice.

They arrived at their homeroom class and sat on their desk. It was only five days before graduation and Mia was excited for her last summer as a high school student before she went to college. They all had their goals laid out in front of them and a ton of money to make it happen even though they were all going to colleges in different states and countries they were all excited for the adventures that awaited them, Mia was going to Yale University to study Law she was going to become a lawyer like everybody in her family and she laughed to argue in the name of the law or at least that's what she thought, Nicole was going to Oxford to study marine biology she was all for those helpless animals in the sea and Zarice was going to UCLA to study designer she was going to be the first person in her family who did not become a politician and it took a lot of convincing to get her parents to agree to let her stray from the traditional family path.

Mr. Strous their homeroom teacher came in, he was a short grumpy man in his mid-fifties, he wore vintage glasses and his clothes were always straight without a single crease in them. He had the image of a family man yet he had no picture of the wife and kids on his desk. "good morning students the school is holding a weekend trip to Japan after your graduation, you have three days to pay for the trip and you must make sure that your passport is ready and don't go around dilly-dallying its an educational trip to study the history of Japan for evaluation test next fall" Mr. Strous said and sat down. "sometimes I feel like this man is from another century" Nicole said while she filed her nails, "try another millennium" Mia said as she was scrolling through her phone, "hey at least now your dad has no choice but to let you go right?' Zarice asked looking excited, "have you met my father, he would never let something like this happen once he sets his mind on something it's going to take a damn miracle to change his and that's just on simple stuff this according to my parents is something really big as I am apparently disrespecting them," Mia said and stood up just as the bell rang. "how do you do that?" Nicole asked as she too stood up, "call it a hunch," Mia said and walked to the door where she bumped into a gorgeous Latin male at least that's what she thought two months ago. "good morning Leon," she said and tried to bypass him. Leon was a jock so his body was practically built by a god, black curly hair fanned on his face giving his olive complexion the justice it deserves he had green you could get lost in and small pink lips, his beauty was a crime. "Mia can we talk?" he asked when she tried one more time to bypass him, "I am listening," Mia said her face showing not a hint of emotion, "no not here maybe later like after school at Jelly Joe's," he said, "sure though honestly Leon I really don't know what is there to talk about, you cheated on me with my worst enemy of all people trust me this conversation is going to end as disappointing as it is going to start for either one f us," she said and went to her next class.

School went on without a hitch and she met her friends in the parking lot when the final bell finally rang. "I will prep ideas for the party and tell you when I narrow down the decorations and that sort of thing and don't say you don't one because this probably the last party I will ever throw for you for the longest time and we are throwing it and we will invite that b***h and she will see the meaning of outshining," Nicole said as she got in her car and drove away, "Want me to keep you company so you don't have to go home?" Zarice asked, "no thanks babe but I am meeting Leon at Jelly Joe's," Mia said as she too walked to her car, "why would you do that, I thought you hate him and he is dating Amira now anyway," Zarice said, "I don't hate him I hate his actions and he just wants to talk as for Amira she can decay in Tartarus for all I care," Mia said got in her car and drove to Jelly Joe's.

When she arrived at Jelly Joe's Leon was still not there so she ordered a blueberry milkshake and started going through her social media while she waited for him. He arrived ten minutes later with the entire football team and Amira and her group of friends, "Mia fancy seeing you here I thought you only ate at fancy Italian restaurants not something like this where we commoners eat I mean being the mayor's daughter and all that" Amira said the moment she spotted her, "can we do this some other time I have to go" Mia said paid the bill and was just about to pick her bag and blazer when Leon caught her hand, "what is it Leon?" she asked annoyed and a little bit hurt, "we were supposed to talk remember" he said like it wasn't obvious to her, "what do you want to talk about Leon?" she asked, "look our relationship ended on a bad note and I just want us to build a bridge at least where we end being I don't know friends" he said, "friends? really Leon? friends don't do this, you don't stand your friend up and arrive late without so much as text with your team and the one person your friend can't stand that is so not how friends are supposed t act" Mia said, "I get it you are pissed"...." that's it Leon you don't get it, do you have any idea how it feels to see you two together I mean it's bad enough that you flaunt her around at school but rubbing it in my face is a new low, Leon if you want to be my friend you are going to have to do a lot more than built a bridge because this bridge is broken beyond repair now if you will excuse I have to go home its almost dinner time" Mia said took her blazer and bag and went out to her car and drove home.

She arrived home and went straight up to her room dropping her bag to the floor and removing her heels, "evening ma'am your mother said you should wear a nice dress there will be important guests tonight" a maid said and left, "great" Mia said and went to her bathroom to take a shower when she finished she did a simple bun on her hair and did her make up before wearing a black dress that ended just a little bit above her knees, it was of-the-shoulder and revealed a little bit cleavage. She wore black strap stilettoes and a diamond necklace with matching earrings that complemented her green eyes and highlighted her raven black hair. She was just doing the finishing touches when a maid announced the arrival of their guests. She stood up and went downstairs where she found her mother talking to a beautiful blonde woman who looked just as elegant as her. "good you are ready, come here Amelia I want you to meet someone her mother said and she walked towards them, "I want you to meet a very good friend of mine this is her royal highness Queen Seraline Montgomery, they are visiting on some official business and they decided to visit" her mom said and Mia extended her hand to shake the queen's, "a pleasure to meet you your majesty" Mia said revealing the good manners that she was brought up with, "you are so beautiful my dear let me introduce you to my son, Christopher come here a minute please" Seraline said and Mia turned to the direction her son was supposed to come from. However, when she turned all she saw was a god, he was the most beautiful human being she had ever seen and she has seen a lot of beautiful people with a face like that belonged on the cover of a magazine. He had golden blonde hair, ice blue eyes that resembled a frozen lake in the deepest of winter, plump pink lips that looked very kissable and his body was like it was sculpted by God himself, he wore a black suit that hugged all his muscles perfectly leaving nothing to the imagination at all. "yes mother" when he spoke its like his words breezed around her entire body and engulfed her in the most safest hug that she has ever felt, "I want to introduce you to Marcelina's daughter Amelia Anderson, Amelia this is my son Christopher" Seraline said and they walked away from them, "Amelia, such a beautiful name for an equally beautiful girl" he said looking at her straight she almost forgot her ability to talk, "thanks but I prefer Mia" she said when she remembered how to speak, "I like that finding your own identity would you be so kind as to take a walk with me" he said and held his arm out for her that was when she realized that all eyes in the room were on them she started feeling uneasy as to what was really going on here. She took his hand and he led them out to the lit garden. "why do i get the feeling you don't know what is going on here?" he asked once they were away from prying ears, "probably because i don't, are you going to tell me or keep me in the dark as well?" she asked once she realized that he had dropped the formal attitude, "I might but I wonder what are you willing to do for that type of information?" he asked amusement shining in his eyes, "that would depend on the information whether its beneficial for me or not" Mia said, "well this particular information could alter your life tremendously" he said, "what do you mean alter my life?" here she stopped and turned to him, "you seriously don't know?" he asked looking at her curiously, "no I really don't" Mia said she was starting to get really annoyed by this guy, "wow this has to be the most awkward moment of my life. Because either you are really naïve or just plain ignorant to have missed something as big as this" he said, "something as big as what exactly and I am neither naïve or ignorant" she said about to snap, "the fact that your parents have set up your wedding to me" he said and Mia thought she must have heard wrong or something, "what?" she asked, "yep you have been betrothed to me to be my wife by December next year and be the future queen of Woendendal" he said shaking his head like the idea was just as ridiculous to him as it was to her. "when was this finalized??" she asked, "about a month or two ago why?" he asked, "no, excuse me I have to have word with my parents quickly" she said and ran into the house.

Sorry that I took a long time to update guys but I was caught up on school work and assignments that I had to hand in but I swear that from now on I will be updating two to three times a week starting with this long chapter to apologize for making you wait so long.
