The Tree of Life

Bella's POV

Another day, another chance to be better.

Before I start my pov, let me introduce myself first. Hi! My name is Bella and I'm a butterfly. They said that I'm a wonderful creature because my wings are rainbow colored but I can't consider myself as one due to the reason that I only see myself as a normal butterfly.

After I gathered my things for work, I started flying my way to The Tree of Life. By the way, that tree magically appeared after our precious Unita and Ursula combined their powers to bring everything back to life. It's flowers blooms every day and the fruits glows in different colors when the night comes. We, the flying creatures or the messengers were tasked to nurture it. We water the tree everyday and made sure that enough sunlight were absorbed for it to maintain it's life.

"Help!"

I snapped back to reality when I heard a sound of someone who's in trouble. I searched my surroundings to find out who it was. As my eyes darted to the rock beside the spring, I saw a fish that is almost out of breath. Quickly, I flew as fast as I can to help.

When I was inch as close to the fish, I stood in shock when it changes it's form into a big black scary flying creature. It's wings were ten times bigger than mine. It have a dark red glowing eyes with a very sharp long fangs. The creature flapped it's wings and before I knew it everything went black.

Elly's POV

What a wonderful day it is. Every animals that live in Omphalos were once again living in harmony. When our precious Unita and Ursula ended their rivalry and used all of their magic to bring everything back to normal, an enchanted tree grew out of nowhere. I still can remember how we were so astonished when we first saw it and everyone wants to take a good care of it. But Unita and Ursula decided that the messengers will be the one to nurture the tree because they were not that busy unlike my group and leo's.

"Elly! Wait!"

I looked behind me and saw Harry the horse panting while walking towards be in a fast pace

"Hey Harry! What's up?" - I said and smiled at him genuinely

"Do you remember my sister named Hope?"- He asked me

"Yes! The one who's working in the kingdom of our dear Unita and Ursula?"- I replied

"Uh-uh! She told me that the sisters were acting strange for a few days now"- Harry said

My brows furrowed and look at him with curiosity visible all over my face

"How can she say that Unita and Ursula were acting strange?"- I replied

Now my attention is focused on him and the news that he brought

"Our dear Unita and Ursula won't leave their throne and they have to appetite to eat even a single piece of fruit"-Harry replied

"They are a little strange indeed! Do Hope know what might me the cause of their weird behavior?"- I replied

Harry shrugged and was about to say something when Rosie the rabbit interupted our conversation

"Harry! A little help here! I can't move these basket of fruits and vegetables"- Rosie said with a pleading look

"I have to go now Elly. I still have works to do and I will help Rosie with the fruits and vegetables"- Harry said as he ran towards the direction of Rosie

"Okay Harry! See you around!"- I said and started walking to The Tree of Life

As I made my way to the center of Omphalos, the news said by Harry won't leave my mind. And I have a bad feeling that a great danger is coming to destroy us again. I hope my gut feeling is wrong, I don't want to risk any lives again.

Night came and all animals gathered surrounding the tree to eat and bond. My fear came back when I noticed that the tree is not glowing that bright unlike the other days. Without any second thought, I sneaked into the castle to see if the words of Hope were true.

The guards didn't noticed me as I walk past through them. I walked slowly and carefully to prevent any sound.

"Elly?"

I froze when I heard someone called my name. I turned around and saw Hope looking at me strangely

"Oh hi Hope!"- I nervously smiled at her

"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at the feast with the others?"- She asked me

"Yes, I was. But I am troubled by the news about Unita and Ursula behaving in a weird way"- I said honestly

"I guess Harry told you. Come follow me"-She said and started to walk

I followed her and together we went to the throne room of Unita and Ursula. My eyes widened when I saw the sisters sitting on their throne and staring at the wall

"It's been several days since they are acting like that. At day, I can still talk to them but they are answering in a lifeless tone, while at night they are staring blankly at the wall"- Hope said with a worried voice

"Do you know what might be the cause of their strange behavior?"-I asked

"If I only know I would have told you. I need to go now Elly, I still have errands to do"- She said and walk away

"Sure Hope, I will be on my way now. The feast is done and I don't want my group to worry about me"- I said and walk out of the castle

"Bella?"

I uttered Bella the butterfly's name out of nowhere when I saw her doing something to the tree. A black aura is surrounding her and the tree's glowing fruits were fluctuating. After a while, she stopped and looked around the place. I hid behind the gate for her to not see me looking. She then flew away like nothing happened.

When I confirmed that she is gone, I walked towards the tree and noticed that it's situation got worse. Some of the fruits were already dead and the leaves were falling.

The next day

I have to find out what really is the problem occuring inside Omphalos as soon as possible. As I think of many possibilities, my eyes widened with shock when I saw something underneath the waters at the spring.

"Bella?!"

I hurriedly made my way to the spring and saw Bella lying inside a bubble in the spring. I tried to reach her with my trunk and luckily I was able to grab her.

As soon as I lay her down the grass, she opened her eyes and was about to attack me but stopped when she recognize me

"What happened Bella?"- I asked her ad soon as she calmed

"I don't know. It happened in a blink of an eye. I was flying when I heard someone calling for help. I flew to help the fish but it transformed into a big black scary flying creature. It put my under the water because it knew that water is my weakness because it makes my wings wet and it enables me to fly"- Bella said trying to remember what happened

"Let's go and tell our friends before this problem gets worst"- I said and let her ride me at my back
