Shayne’s POV
I shift and allow Kaden to rest behind my mind while I handle this demon. I was able to latch onto his neck and push him down under the water. I don’t know if demons drown in water, but it’s worth a try. I push as hard as I can so that he can stop breathing and slowly I feel less of a life force coming from the demon. Almost done. I don’t feel much left and I can barely feel any vibration from his body. If I was in my true form I would already know by now that he is dead, but since I am not this will have to do. Now I feel no vibrations. I slowly get off of the demon to make sure that he is dead and still no movement. I back up and move towards Kyra.
“Are you okay?” I mindlink her
“I am. Shayne this is too soon.” she says to me
“I know but I had no choice.” I say back
