Ashlynn's POV
I didn't want to open my eyes just yet. There was pain radiating throughout my entire body but my side and leg were the worst parts. I thought my leg was going to explode. It hurt so bad, and my side hurt every time I tried to breathe. I started to panic and that was making it worse. I opened my eyes finally to figure out where I was, and I was shocked to see that I was in the hospital. The last thing I remember was I was in the car and someone was chasing us.
"Emerson," I screamed and panicked even more. I started looking around for something to get someone's attention, but I couldn't find anything.
"HELP," I screamed even louder, and it worked. My door was thrown open, and a nurse came running in.
"You're awake."
"Where's my daughter, my husband? What happened?
