I sat across from Ashlynn and watched her as she devoured her second slice of pizza. She still hadn't told me what her good news was. She said she was too hungry and needed to eat something first. I had news of my own, and I wasn't sure how she would react to it.
"Are you ready to share your news now?"
"Yes, and it's not as exciting as you think."

"I am going to step back from my day-to-day operations at the bakery, and I am going to do custom orders and Avery is going to become the manager and take over what I do. I also think we are going to expand and put a coffee bar, but I'm not sure about that because I have to get an estimate of how much it's going to cost me.
