Barrette's POV
I was led up to the ICU once again to see my wife. The last time we were here was just a few weeks ago, when she gave birth and I almost lost her then and this time it's even worse because it's not going to be just a week or two of resting and she is fine. No, this time it will be months of pain and recovery and God only knows what else.
"She is in here but right now she is on a ventilator, which is a machine breathing for her, and we are keeping her sedated right now. You can talk to her, hold her hand, kiss her cheek, but just be very gentle with her. I will let you be for fifteen minutes and then come back in and get you when it's time."
