Chapter Thirty-Two Shadow rolled out of bed, wide awake. Energy coursed through her as she pulled on her trousers and shirt, automatically tipping out her boots after so long on the trail. She buckled on her belt, running her fingers down the pommel of her sword and wishing Carson was here. Her first day training with Dore and she wasn’t going to be late. She hurried through the hallways and stairwells, making her way to the kitchens first for some freshly cooked pastries to take with her. She was one of the first at the castle training grounds, stopping in the area Thornton had told her Dore held his lessons.
