Before sleep could take me. His blasted phone rang. He ignored it, letting it ring annoyingly. I ignored it, despite it grating on my nerves. It felt like I’d been patient and barely hanging on for weeks, and now that I finally had my man to myself, someone else was clamoring for his attention. Not fair. Not happy. Yet it kept ringing. We had the same ringtone so it could have been my phone but very few people called me. Kelton was currently with me. Kilani and Ally were together and knew we wanted alone time. They wouldn’t call unless it was an emergency. We heard the text alert ding. We should have thought to silence them, I thought darkly.
