Cupcakes And Introduction

Asteria's POV I expected a lot of things. So many type of faces came to my mind, so many names and images. However what I didn't expect was to see the face of who was standing before me. Stood before me was hands down the most beautiful man I had ever seen. His eyes were what drew me in; they were blue in color down to his nose, chin and jaw. Everything on his body was shaped to perfection. His hair was the darkest of brown I had ever seen accentuating his looks. I knew I was staring and I knew it was rude to stare but I could not help it. This man was beautiful. The clearing of a throat brought me out of my thoughts and I was brought back to earth. Never had I seen a human as pretty as he was. Was he even a human being? A god maybe? " Hi. I'm Asteria your new neighbor" it was a miracle I was able to speak with his intense gaze on me. I stared him down for the first time and soon realized he was shirtless. My eyes widened on their own not noticing it earlier. His skin was tanned and smooth, no mark or spot on it. His muscled chest and broad arms made me believe he spends hours in the gym. My eyes could not help but go lower to see the curve of his waistline. His trousers hanging loosely on his waist. My cheeks flushed immediately and I cleared my throat. Get it together Asteria! He is just a beautiful boy. Yes the most beautiful man we had ever seen, my subconscious scolded me. My hands were still in the air outstretched to him. He glanced briefly at it and back up to my face, my bag of cakes still in his hands. Rude! " Oh I'm the one that normally keeps cupcakes at your door, your neighbor, I live next door" I ranted, internally cringing at the way my voice sounded. I quickly brought my outstretched arm to myself soon realizing beautiful boy was not going to greet me. " Goddess of the stars" " What?" I asked, wanting to hear his voice one more time. " Your name; means the goddess of the stars" even his voice was beautiful. f**k. " How did you---" he was the first person that ever said the meaning of my name without me having to tell them. I was indeed impressed and it only made him more intriguing to me. " If you have nothing else to say, I'm gonna go. Thanks for this" he replied turning to leave. " No. Wait" I stopped him, my fingers colliding with his arm. He turned to me, his eyes moving from my face to where my fingers were wrapped on his very large arm. I quickly whisked my fingers away, whispering a little sorry to him. He raised his brows to me waiting for my response. " Uhm. Did you enjoy the cupcakes? I mean.. if you have any comments or anything to add, you can let me know" I breathed out. That was not what I wanted to ask him, I wanted to ask him if he would love to come around to mine sometimes. Get your head out of the gutter, I just wanted to be friendly, nothing more. I doubt he would be attracted to me like that. " Cupcakes's good" was his only reply. He turned to leave again and I stopped him. " At least tell me your name"I shouted again making him stop to look at me. " Why would you want to know my name?" " Because.." " You can call me what you have in your mind" he replied. My brows furrowed in confusion " You have a name for me already Asteria" the way my name sounded coming from his mouth almost made my knees buckle. I was loosing it. " I don't understand" I whispered, no longer as bold as I was earlier. " Give me a name then" he said staring so deep into my eyes. I could have looked away, but I couldn't. I was drawn so much into his eyes it was strange. " Uhmmm. Don't you have a name?" I asked trying to understand him. I was enjoying his presence too soon but I could not help it. He was completely different from my everyday life and that alone was exciting. " I'll be whatever you want to call me Asteria" there's my name again. " I'll call you beautiful boy then" I replied. The corners of his lip raised up a little in a smirk and my breath hitched at his beauty. If his smirk was this hot, I wondered how his smile would be. This was not good. " Beautiful boy it is then" he whispered more to himself than me. He nodded at me and turned to walk away. Once getting to his door, he stopped and turned back to look at me, my breathing hitching with his movement. " Why did you move into this house?" " Wha ---- what" I stuttered like an imbecile. " This house. It was rumored to have ghosts in them, but you moved in why??" The way he stared at me made me think he genuinely wanted to hear my reason which was ridiculous because why would he. " I don't believe in ghosts or things like that, the rent was relatively cheap so I got it" I replied, surprised at my coordination. " Do you believe in wolves and vampires then?" " Sorry what?" I asked not understanding what he was talking about. " Never mind." He nodded and turned to leave. I was too speechless to stop him so I let him go. I let out a loud breath, my hand going to my chest to calm my racing heart. I was a 26 years old woman but I was behaving like a 16 years old teenager. What the hell was that? Actually the question I should be asking was; who the hell was that? I could not wait to tell Mandy about everything. A smile rose up in my face at the notion that I had finally met my neighbor. My very beautiful, jaw dropping, pant dripping, heart racing, nerve racking neighbor. My life just got interesting. The rest of the day flew by faster. I had no more sound coming from beautiful boy's end and I was wondering what he was doing. I could not help but think about him more now that I knew what he looked like. The walls of my house were very thin and it was something I had always had a problem with but now I wished they were thinner. I wanted to hear all he was doing. Since my last relationship with Jude,I had lost interest in men. Yes I was asked out a whole lot but I was never interested. Mandy always made fun of me saying I should go become a nun. I flirted often and sometimes brought men over to my house but after that it was nothing. I felt nothing even after we had slept together. I can be shy when having conversations with people despite how loud and independent I was but when it came to the bedroom I knew my way around, that was why the men I had night stands with always wanted more but I never slept with the same guy twice, I was no hoe but when I was in the mood which was not too often I usually went out for drinks in bars that were not so crowded often bringing a man home with me. My last relationship was the worst and it changed a lot of things for me, in a bad way. Jude was an abusive asshole and I didn't realize until I was far too deep into the relationship. He beat me and always made it look like it was my fault. Each time we went out and I as much as smiled to another man, I knew I was in for it that night. We started growing distant, until I came back one day to find him on our bed with another woman. I wasn't hurt or disappointed because I had stopped loving him for a long time. I was numb to everything only happy that I at least found a good reason to end things with him. Since then he had not let me be, always coming up to different houses I moved into begging for forgiveness. Mandy was always quick to throw hot water or whatever was close by at him. Bless her. However seeing beautiful boy made me question if I actually changed. If the old Asteria was still inside me somewhere. I could not deny it and say I didn't find him attractive because He. Was. Fine. But I wondered if he found me attractive too. I knew I was easy on the eyes, at least Mandy had always told me and the many men that came knocking on my door, but I wanted beautiful boy to find me attractive, to like me and I was going to make it happen. I sent a text to Mandy letting her know I had something to tell her and she said she was on her way. The door bell rang and I knew it was Mandy. I hurried over to the door prying it open for her. " Hey Mandy bee" " Doll you better start talking. Who is the mystery neighbor? Please don't tell me it's some old man with smelling shaves and wrotten teeth" I laughed loudly at her description shaking my head softly. " Well on the contrary, he is no old man with smelling shaves or wrotten teeth. He is or has to be the most beautiful boy I had ever seen Mandy seriously" I groaned falling loudly on my sofa. " f**k. Are you serious?" She replied " Yes oh my God. That man is perfection all round Mandy I am in trouble" " Then by all means introduce us then" Mandy screeched loudly already on her feet and making a bee line for the door. " Well that's not going to be possible" I muttered softly. " What.. what do you mean?" " I don't even know his name" I shrugged dishearteningly " What are you not telling me doll?" Mandy replied turning to face me squarely. " Wait don't tell me..." I was already nodding before she could finish her words. " But you just met him!" She continued " I did, but despite his unwaveringly and effortless beauty, I could not help but feel this mighty pull towards him like something was pulling me towards him, I know I sound ridiculous but I swear that's how it is" I ranted. " You actually do sound ridiculous but I get it, I'd feel that way if I saw Mathew Journey real life" Mandy commented. " That's not the same thing Mandy, and you can never see your crush in real life, that's why they are called crushes" I replied chuckling quietly. Mathew Journey had always been Mandy and I's crush since we met each other, but I guess mine was about to change. All I explained to Mandy was the truth, yes beautiful boy was gorgeous but the pull I felt towards him was completely different from just seeing random hot boys in clubs or the streets. It was completely different and I wanted , no needed to see him again. Maybe once we continued to see each other, the attraction would die down. Even though I had a feeling it wasn't going to go away that easily. " So are you going to visit him again. With this pull s**t you keep talking about isn't it better to stay away from him like you said you would? Stay clear of all men or something" she replied reminding me of the conviction I made when Mandy caught me in Jude and I's kitchen the day I caught him cheating. " I don't think I have a choice in this Mandy." I said truthfully. I didn't know if I had any choice regarding beautiful boy at all. " I'm in trouble Mandy, that's all you need to know" I was in trouble with beautiful boy.
