He was peacefully walking along the street when a group of cyclist sped past him, almost brushing past. They were going at a sustained speed, riding very light, professional racing bikes with disc wheels and refined gears. All young and athletic, they were wearing colourful skin suits and an aerodynamic protective helmet each. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, the last on the trail went limp, crashing onto the ground. Having been alerted to it by some passers-by waving, the three cyclists in front of him immediately braked and turned round. They believed their team-mate had lost control of his bike after going into a pothole on the tarmac, getting knocked out after a blow to the head.
