The longer she thought, the more questions she had. She hated unanswered questions. She liked things tidy, orderly. She was overly curious by nature. The questions she had in her mind were going to make for some very interesting discussions with her grandparents. Janet clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms like knives. Her nails, which she always wore very short, were now digging into her palms. Relaxing her hands, she stared at them. Her nails had grown thick, sharp, and curved. She smiled as a sense of satisfaction washed over her; she could do some serious damage with these babies. A dog howled from somewhere down the street. From deep in her throat she snarled.
