Chapter 58

603 Words
Once the interrogation on Sion revealed nothing they didn’t know, Slaine ran a hand through his hair as his eyes landed on Chaos. He found it odd; the deity always remained by his side; they always had since they had come to Earth, but ever since Sion had appeared, they seemed to focus all of their attention on Sion, and he wasn’t sure how he should have dealt with the feelings he held. Sion, who had been presumed dead for the past few hundred years, had reappeared, and he and Chaos must have had a lot of things to say to one another, but Slaine couldn’t help but feel as if he had been the man’s replacement, albeit a s**t one, but a replacement nonetheless. Because for the past two weeks, Chaos had barely said over one hundred words to him, and maybe it was intentional on their part, and Slaine had also been avoiding them, but it still stung way deep down. “Will you all shut up,” Blue snapped as they tied their blonde hair back, as the room quietened. “In case you missed it, they are thoroughly screwed if we don’t figure out the remaining prophecies, and there has to be a way to stop this.” Slaine looked around, and he scowled when he realised Wing hadn’t come back; he had been gone for almost ten minutes, and he had followed after Cairo and, like hell, he was leaving him alone with Cairo for so long, so he pushed past Jasper ignoring his confusion. He went outside but froze in the doorway at the scene before him as disgust came across his face. Cairo wrapped his arms around Wing, whose arms were around the taller man’s neck, and the two were in the middle of a make-out. “What the f**k?” he deadpanned. Wing pulled away from Cairo to look at Slaine. “I can explain?” “No, I mean, yeah, like what the f**k. But you’re an adult, I guess. But him? Really? Your best friend’s father?” “Oh, god. Please don’t tell Thorne.” “No, I am going back inside, and I am going to try and burn this memory. Wing, get inside.” “But you said I’m an adult.” “You are a f*****g child.” “I’m twenty.” “Don’t make me drag you in here.” “Sure thing, dad,” he grumbled, his tone sarcastic on the last word. He dragged WIng back into the corner of the room, and Jasoer looked at him, and he sighed, waxing his hand. What the hell was he even meant to say? When Cairo walked into the room, Slaine glared daggers at him, and the vampire got the hint and stood far away from them, next to Autumn, Winter and Aether. “Maybe it's the sixth one?” Grey said, his head c****d as his grey eyes focused on the prophecies Micah had written on the wall with a black marker. “The everlasting father shall rise and fall. Maybe this everlasting father is the one who helps. It is the only one besides the title that doesn’t have a number, meaning the next two will lead to the destruction of this universe, but if we can find this father, then we’re all set.” “Sure,” Micah said. “Smart, but who the f**k is the everlasting father?” “Well, they have all linked to Chaos somehow. If you haven’t noticed, it all seems to link to them. So, Chaos, any ideas?” ~*~
