Chapter 1 – Monologue

200 Words
Skylah : "(Suicide— contemporaries call it a mental illness. The Christians call it a sin. They are mutually exclusive, or it would otherwise be an oxymoron to call an illness a sin.) (But I digress….. I'm not going to commit suicide. What I have is desperation; desperate enough to go on a suicide mission to get back what I've lost.) (Be that as it may, even if I failed in the process, it would be a nice escapism from the harsh reality without the burden of moral ideologies attached to suicide.) (If anything, I suppose I have the moral high ground by justifying this recklessness as a leap of faith.) (After all, what more could I lose? I've lost my career as a lawyer, I've lost the love of my life and I've even lost my sanctuary I once called 'home'. If this experiment worked, I could turn back time and have a do-over. I could prevent the incident that took everything from me. I do not ask for much, I just want everything to return to how it was.) (Either way, it's a win for me – to get back my world or to say goodbye to it.)"
