Sam didn’t see the sucker punch before it was too late, and he was flying, no, more like crashing through the window that looked out onto the street and smacked hard against its asphalt.

Sam raised his head in time to see the front bumper of a Mercedes Benz racing toward him. The driver had seen him too late to swerve away from the collision.
