Katrinas POV She couldn't do anything to protect herself. Her broken bones kept her from moving in any coordinated manner. So she lifted her unbroken leg, ready to kick off anyone who came to close. The men all stared at her, their own eyes wide with surprise and uncertainty. Katrina felt sweat beginning to drip down her forehead. She was terrified. "Katrina," a little voice whispered from behind the crowd. She looked over to see the boy squirming through the men. "Hey," he whispered, still keeping his voice low.
