"Everyone quiet!" Cole shouted. Every wolf but Annie was now combing over the house, searching for Xavier. The crying had stopped after a few minutes but it didn't matter. Cole knew he was around here somewhere. He'd heard him. Instinctively he had known it was his child. Like all werewolves, he could recognize his own child by sound and sight.
Everyone froze, most even holding their breaths. Except for Steven and the older woman who had tried being loud up until Kai had broken Stevens nose. Cole had laughed at that, surprising even himself. He had wanted to break the man's bones since he saw that picture. The only reason he hadn't was because he didn't know what he meant to Katrina.
