Night had fallen over Marseille, cloaking the city in a blanket of stars. In her small room at the convent, Alayna sat by the window, the cool breeze brushing against her face as she looked out into the night. Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, all centered on the recent encounter with Killianโor rather, who she thought was Killian.
"Something was different," she murmured to herself, tracing the edge of the windowpane with her finger. "He looked the same, but he didn't speak like that before. He was softer, gentler."
The memory of the kiss lingered on her lips, sending a shiver down her spine. She had been so relieved to see him, to feel his arms around her again. But now, in the stillness of her room, doubts began to creep in.
"Could he have changed so much in such a short time?" she wondered aloud. "Or was I just imagining things?"
Alayna sighed, the weight of her confusion pressing down on her. She had always known Killian as confident and playful, sometimes even brash. But tonight, he had been differentโpatient, almost tender. It was as if he was a different person entirely.
Needing to clear her head, Alayna decided to go to the garden. She wrapped a shawl around her shoulders and quietly made her way downstairs.
The night air was cool and crisp, a welcome contrast to the stuffiness of her room. The garden was bathed in moonlight, the flowers glowing softly under the silvery rays.
Alayna walked slowly among the blossoms, inhaling the sweet fragrance that filled the air. She found her favorite bench and sat down, letting the tranquility of the garden soothe her troubled mind.
"Maybe he's changed," she said softly to herself. "Maybe he realized how much I care for him."
She looked up at the sky, the stars twinkling like distant lanterns. "Or maybe Iโm just seeing what I want to see," she added with a hint of sadness.
As she sat there, lost in thought, the events of the evening played over in her mind. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was off, but she pushed the doubts aside, choosing instead to hold onto the hope that Killian had indeed changed for the better.
Kyree had taken up residence in a small apartment near the church in Marseille, strategically placing himself close to where Killian frequented. The apartment was modest, with simple furnishings and a bare minimum of decoration.
It was the kind of place that allowed Kyree to keep a low profile while maintaining a watchful eye on his brotherโs activities.
One restless night, Kyree decided to take a walk through the garden behind the church.
The air was cool and fresh, and the stars above sparkled brilliantly in the clear night sky. As he wandered among the blooming flowers and neatly trimmed hedges, he spotted a familiar figure sitting on a bench, her gaze fixed upwards at the heavens.
It was Alayna.
Kyree approached her quietly, not wanting to startle her. "Alayna," he called softly. She turned, her eyes widening in surprise before softening with recognition.
"Killian," she breathed, and Kyree felt a pang of guilt at her mistake.
"What are you doing out here so late?" he asked, sitting down beside her on the bench.
"I couldn't sleep," she admitted, her voice gentle. "I often come here to think and find some peace. And you? Where have you been staying right now?"
Kyree hesitated for a moment, choosing his words carefully. "I found a place nearby. It's small, but it suits my needs."
Alayna's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Can I see it?"
Kyree was taken aback by her request but found himself nodding. "Sure, if you'd like to."
They walked together through the quiet, winding streets of Marseille, the city asleep around them. When they reached Kyreeโs apartment, he opened the door and led her inside.
The apartment was simple and unadorned, with just a few essential pieces of furniture and a minimalistic aesthetic. Yet, it was clean and well-kept.Alayna looked around, taking in the surroundings with a discerning eye.
"It's nice," she said, turning to smile at him. "Cozy and quiet."
Kyree returned her smile, a warm feeling spreading in his chest. "I'm glad you think so."
They sat down on the small sofa in the living area, the atmosphere growing more intimate as they talked. Alayna spoke about her life at the convent, her aspirations, and her struggles.
Kyree listened attentively, sharing vague details about his "business" to keep her from probing too deeply into his real reasons for being in Marseille.
As the night wore on, the conversation flowed effortlessly. There was a comfort in their dialogue, a sense of connection that neither could deny.
Alayna inched closer to Kyree, her hand lightly brushing against his. She looked up at him, her eyes full of questions and unspoken emotions.
"You seem different," she said softly. "But in a good way. There's a gentleness in you tonight that I haven't seen before."
Kyreeโs heart raced as she leaned in, her lips gently meeting his. He was momentarily stunned, but then he responded, his hands moving to cradle her face tenderly.
The kiss was slow, filled with a mixture of uncertainty and growing desire. It was as if time had stopped, and the only thing that mattered was the connection between them. When they finally pulled away, they were both breathless.
Alayna looked at him with a blend of happiness and vulnerability. "I'm glad you're here," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Kyree nodded, his thoughts a tumultuous mix of guilt and longing. He wanted to protect her from Killian's schemes, but he also couldn't deny the burgeoning feelings he had for her.
"I'm glad too," he replied softly, his thumb gently caressing her cheek.
As she kissed him again, she opened her eyes, she saw the very man who could make her heart thud.
"I love you so much Killian" Alayna said, taking a deep breath and releasing as she told it to him.
"I love you too, Alayna." He whispered.
"I'm ready, please do what you want to do tonight. I'm all yours" Alayna locked eyes with him and kiss him gently and passionately.
Kyree couldn't help himself and grabbed her waist gently against his body. And pinned her to the wall, slowly locking the door and their lips met.
He kissed her, he took off her clothes, unbutton her bra and threw them away. They carried on kissing each other, exploring the feeling.
Their naked torsos were pressed to each other and her breasts squeezed against his body. Kyree pushed her at the bed, as he pinned her next at the bed.
"Can you do it slowly?" Alayna requested to him and Kyree nodded.
"I will, don't worry" he whispered at her ears.
