Chapter 5: One Night, Three Hundred Million (Continued) When Mu Xueran regained consciousness, the sun had begun to set. Her body, drenched in sweat, still carried the faint sensations of his hands and lips. The ache between her legs reminded her of his brutal assault. She couldn’t remember how many times she had fainted, only that he never stopped—tirelessly taking and taking. His scent lingered on her, making her feel filthy and nauseous. Supporting her weak body, she sat up in the bed. The slightest movement sent a dull pain shooting through her lower body. “Mom... where are you?” she murmured softly, longing for the comfort of her mother’s arms. “Knock, knock, knock…” A knock came at the door, and before she could respond, it creaked open. A young woman, seemingly in her twenties, walked in carrying a steaming bowl of porridge. “Miss Mu, it’s time to eat,” she said coldly. “What... porridge?” Mu Xueran looked up at the bowl in confusion. “The young master said you lost too much blood during this morning’s... activity. This is a ginseng and bird’s nest porridge he specially instructed us to prepare for you.” The young master—Chu Lingfeng? Activity? Was she livestock to him? “I don’t want it,” she said stubbornly. “The young master said, if you refuse, I am to feed it to you myself,” the woman replied, her tone icy and indifferent. “I...” Mu Xueran glanced at the woman. She was beautiful but expressionless, with an icy demeanor that made her seem unapproachable. “Fine. I’ll drink it.” Swallowing her pride, Mu Xueran took the bowl and drank the porridge in one go. She hadn’t wanted to eat, but the warmth of the porridge brought a small comfort. Its taste wasn’t bad, but she couldn’t believe Chu Lingfeng would show such kindness. “Where is my mother? I want to see her,” Mu Xueran asked firmly, staring at the woman. “I’m sorry, Miss Mu. You can only see her with the young master’s permission,” the woman replied coolly. With that, she turned and exited, locking the door behind her with a loud click. Mu Xueran rushed to the door, twisting the handle desperately and pounding on the door with all her might. But no one answered. “Let me out! Let me out! Where is Chu Lingfeng? I want to see him!” she cried, her forehead pressed against the cold door. Her frail body slid down until she sat on the carpet, drained. As despair began to set in, the door suddenly opened. “Miss Mu, it hasn’t even been half a day, and you already miss me?” Chu Lingfeng’s deep, magnetic voice filled the room as he stepped inside. Squatting down, he cupped her small, tear-streaked face in his hand, staring deeply into her watery, icy eyes. For a moment, his gaze turned inexplicably melancholic. “Where is my mother? I’ve done everything you asked. Why won’t you let her and me go?” “Everything I asked? Tsk... Do you think this ends here? That just one night with you settles it all? Do you believe, Miss Mu, that you’re worth $300 million in just one night?” He chuckled mockingly. “One night? Three hundred million?” Mu Xueran’s voice trembled with disbelief. “What do you take me for? What will it take for you to let my mother and me go?” she demanded, her desperation growing.
