Medrielle made her way to the airport baggage claim. It didn't take long as it was a significantly smaller airport than the other two she had visited in the last fifteen hours. Her eyes roamed the conveyor belt, looking for her last piece of luggage. It was a huge charcoal grey Samsonite suitcase that held all of her possessions, mostly clothes and shoes. When she checked it for her flight, it weighed two hundred twenty-two pounds. To be honest, most of the weight was probably her shoes. She left a lot of her clothing behind but was unwilling to leave any of her beloved shoes. You could always find clothes and outfits anywhere but most of her shoes were made by top designers in Euroland and some were even one of a kind made especially for her. She had no problem using her inheritance to spoil herself with her one addiction of shoes. She hadn't even worn some of them. No way was she leaving them behind. She checked her phone, but there was still no text or call from Dr. Grant. She dialed his cell, and it went straight to voicemail. He was supposed to pick her up. She grabbed the handle of the large suitcase and placed the smaller carry-on bag on top of it, and used both hands to roll it behind her and out to the airport exit doors. She was standing at the entrance Dr. Grant had instructed her to wait for him for about fifteen minutes. She began to think, what if he forgot? She wasn't even sure how to get to the pack house. Reyna tried to relax her. Dr. Grant wouldn't forget her. He might have hit traffic and was now running a bit late. She sat on top of her large suitcase and waited patiently. Sure enough, a few minutes later, she saw the black Tesla Dr. Grant had described he would be driving and his face through the windshield. He was just over fifty years old but could pass for his early thirties.Werewolves aged slowly. He was handsome with blue eyes and dark sandy blonde hair, he had a tan that he was showing off along with all his tattoos and his muscles by wearing a dark blue tank top and khaki cargo shorts. He exited his car after popping the trunk and walked towards her. Medrielle whistled at him and said, "Wow, Dr. Grant, looking hot, you still got it. Your mate is one mighty lucky lady to have you." His face turned a bit pink with embarrassment. He was modest. She did make him smile even more. They hugged tightly, and he whispered it was so nice to finally have her home. His wife Meg was indeed a lucky lady, and he was so sorry to have kept her waiting. They both giggled as he grabbed her luggage and placed it in the trunk of his car. After they had settled into the car, Dr. Grant asked how her flight was, and she responded that it was very long and tiring, but all and all good. He said they had about a two-hour drive before they arrived at the pack and asked if she was hungry and wanted to stop for lunch. She thought about it but said no. She was anxious to get to the pack house, and Reyna was beyond excited. She was restless and could hardly contain herself. Medrielle couldn't blame her. They continued to drive mostly in silence with just a little small talk here and there. There was plenty of time to catch up now that she was home, and Dr. Grant knew she was exhausted. She looked out the window at the beautiful forest passing by. She could feel Reyna's desire to leap out and run the rest of the way through the thick tree lines and feel the dirt under her paws. Medrielle did her best to control her, but it was so hard to calm her down. She had never felt Reyna like this. The car slowed to make a right turn onto a smaller paved road that would lead them deeper into the forest and to the pack entrance. Medrielle suddenly felt more alive than she ever had. She couldn't understand it. She felt her alpha aura growing, glowing more powerfully than it had ever glowed before. She tried to bring it down and cover it using the techniques that Geegee the witch from the Red Moon pack had taught her, but it was so hard. She noticed Dr. Grant gripping the steering wheel harder and his knuckles turning white. He lowered his window to let some air in. Not only was her aura out of control, but her scent was as well. It began to fill the car. She didn't understand how it could have become so strong. Luckily, Dr. Grant had a mate, so it didn't affect him too much. Something was definitely happening to her. With a nervous voice, she apologized to Dr. Grant and told him she didn't know what was happening. Dr. Grant told her not to worry. She was descendent from a great line of Alphas who ruled over this land. Her aura was pushing through because this land was her birthright and her destiny to rule over. He told her to focus hard on her witch training to mask her scent and aura and bring them down to an acceptable level. She closed her eyes and asked Reyna to calm down and help her do as the Dr. said, or they would cause a lot of trouble and possibly be thrown out of the pack. This kind of display could be mistaken as an attempt to take over the pack from the Alpha Prince, and that was definitely not her intention. She had to remind Reyna that they were no longer in line to be Alpha here, and they needed to just be happy with being home again and part of the pack they loved so dearly. Reyna agreed and masked them to a much lower level. Her Alpha aura was still evident but tuned way down now. She looked over at Dr. Grant who nodded and smiled at her, showing his approval. The car approached the entrance gates to the pack. Medrielle took a deep breath, her eyes bulged as she laid eyes on the humongous gate and the sign that read, DIAMOND CRESCENT MOON, her home! They were finally home! She felt warm tears run down her cheeks. She couldn't stop them from falling no matter how hard she tried. The large steel gate must have stood at least fifty feet high and thirty feet wide. Dr. Grant stopped the car to check in with the ten or so warriors posted as security for the entrance. One of them waved them through, and the large electronic gate began to open for them. He told her the Alpha Prince didn't mess around with pack safety. They continued down the road. Medrielle could see large modern one - and two-story homes all along both sides. They were beautiful with water fountains and perfectly manicured lawns. They looked like the homes you would find in a neighborhood for the rich and famous. Then she saw it, the pack house. It wasn't the same one from her childhood. It was enormous! Huge marble pillars held up a white wrap- around porch of the entire house. The porch had billiards, ping pong, and foosball tables. There were chairs and seating everywhere. Teens and preteens were scattered playing games or just hanging out. The pack house was as big as a castle and five stories high! Marble steps lead up to the enormous front red wood door. On the west and east sides of the house were Olympic sized swimming pools with cabanas, tables and chairs, fire pits, and barbeque grills were strategically placed everywhere. Tennis, basketball courts, and volleyball areas with sand were also visible. There was a large 10 car garage to the left of the pack house. Medrielle was in awe. She couldn't believe this was the same pack from her youth. Her father would be so proud. It's exactly the way he had described his plans to her when she was young. He said his dream was to build it up and be the biggest and most glorious pack in all the world. She caught a glimpse of the old three-story pack house. It had cosmetic changes and upgrades but pretty much remained how she remembered it. Dr. Grant explained it was now pack housing for adult unmated wolves. They had redesigned the floors to have communal areas where the residents could hang out away from the younger teens, preteens, and mated couples. A place of their own with a little more privacy until they found their mates and moved into their own homes. They still had the large pool in the back, and the dining area had been converted to a movie theater for all pack members to enjoy. "The old garage is now a bowling alley," he said. The training facility and hospital were half a mile away, and additional homes for members were all over the land. There was a coffee house, bakery, ice cream shop, and a skating rink was being constructed as well. Medrielle was overwhelmed. All that came out of her mouth was, "How?" Dr. Grant chuckled and said, "The Alpha Prince is very knowledgeable in the ways of making and investing money for himself and the pack. He made a lot of financial investments that have paid off and made the pack over four billion dollars. The Alpha Prince is also a billionaire, but I can't say how much he is worth for sure. Oh, and I know I have been referring to him as the Alpha Prince, but don't call him that. Call him Alpha Gage." Medrielle just shook her head and mumbled, " OK." They stopped in front of the steps to the pack house. A few Omegas were standing outside, awaiting their arrival. They waved at them, and an older she wolf with graying hair smiled widely at her. Medrielle stepped out of the car as one of the Omegas held the door open for her. She placed her foot on the gravel drive and immediately felt what could only be described as a surge of electricity shooting through her body. It made her entire body tingle. It felt amazing like the land, her land, was welcoming her home. She had to stop herself from crying again. Dr. Grant said not to worry about her luggage. Someone would take it up and put it away for her, and then he motioned for her to follow him in. They entered into the foyer. It was massive, marble floors throughout, high ceilings, and it was beautifully decorated. There were lots of pack members just hanging out and bustling about. Some waved or yelled out to her, welcoming her to the pack. She wasn't sure if they knew who she was yet, but she was pretty sure they would soon find out. To the right were two giant staircases, Dr. Grant explained that one was to the West wing and the other to the East wing, but they only went up to the third floor. In order to reach the fourth floor, which was the Betas penthouse and Alpha's penthouse on the fifth floor, you had to take the elevator that very few had access to. So, Dr. Grant would take her to Beta Jason's office on the second floor. The Beta would go over her job duties, answer any questions she might have, and get her settled in. On the way to Betas' office, Medrielle asked Dr. Grant something that had been bothering her. "Dr. Grant, I have heard the stories of The Savage Lycan Prince. Are they true, and will I be safe," she asked. Dr. Grant thought for a moment. The stories are all true, but The Savage Lycan has only ever taken control on the battlefield to win the war or protect the Alpha Prince and his warriors. As far as he knew, the untamed lycan had never appeared any other time. That is the reason the elders that form the Council have given the Alpha Prince the ultimatum of finding a mate or being removed from the Alpha position. They're afraid the longer he goes without a Luna, the bigger the chance he will lose control outside of battle. If you ever see Alpha's eyes turn red, run away as fast as you can, and do not hesitate. It means his lycan is on the verge of taking control. When they arrive at Beta Jason's office before Dr. Grant could knock on the door, Medrielle turned and grabbed Dr. Grant, she pulled him in for a tight hug, gently pecked his cheek, and again thanked him for helping her return home. He smiled and roughed up the top of her hair, then knocked on the door. "Enter," said Beta Jason.
