We rushed out of our positions and the enemy was seriously off guard. I was in the gate and in hiding when the first set of warriors came out. Today, my mission was to retrieve the lost empire map of our pack. I snuck in the castle, down the longest hallway off my life, and to the map room in six minutes flat. I remembered that it was in a display case at our pack museum in a picture frame. I looked along the room to see a nice stack off pictures frame on a desk in the center of the room. I quickly glance and locate the map. It was sitting on the bottom of the stack under other pack maps. Luckily, they didn't open or break then picture frame yet. It was over a hundred years old just like the map inside. Slowly and carefully, I placed it in my satchel and put the fake replica of map in its spot and the frames back on it just like it was before."Well it's just like it was, isn't it sweetheart", A sudden dark voice growled. I quickly turn to the doorway to growl back and stopped at the aroma from the stranger. It was as intoxicating as whiskey. The scent was fresh leather and persimmons. My wolf, Maya, yelled to me at the same time the person in front of me did,"Mate!".I opened my eyes to see the person walking closer. He was tall with a muscular build. His hair was wavy with a dark brown coloring to it. His face was structure so soundly with a square jaw to a the godly affect of power to his body which was already added to his more that chiseled body. Finally, I glanced a his eyes once again and they lock. His eyes were gold with light golden specks around it. They scanned over my face taking in every little detail about it and about me. My mind was blank and filled to the brim with emotions, excited, happy, nervous, and worried.
