“Tell me, what theory?” Blanchette insisted her mom tells her.
“Well, rumor has it that he killed his family and their gang on his sixteen birthdays.”
“So, you really think it was possible for a sixteen-year-old kid to kill so many people single-handed?” Blanchette laughs in disbelieve.
“Well, that is what your grandmother told me.”
“Really? Why would granny entertain such a bizarre story?” Blanchette asks as she can not believe her beloved granny would talk such nonsense.
“You ask her when you see her again.”
“I will.”
After school Blanchette’s mom is already waiting for her making sure she does not take a ride with Jerimiah. Jerimiah noticed and wondered what Blanchette’s eye-rolling at her mother is about.
“Hi Mrs. Perrault,” Jerimiah greets Blanchette’s mother as he walks past her car with an open window.
When Jerimiah got home, he stopped at all the houses to see how far they are with the foundations as he had plans tonight to do a great deal of the work using his Vampire speed and strength.
“Hey Beta, I am wondering, do you think it will be bad for me to turn into a Vampire amongst the packs strongest tonight?” Jerimiah asks, about to share his plan of action to speed up the building of the houses.
“I am Andrew Pierce, but you can just call me Andy,” the beta says.
“So, what do you think Andy, can I turn into a Vampire around the pack?”
“If you think you can control yourself it shouldn’t be a problem but why?” Andy asked wondering what the kids is up to.
“I can do all the small jobs with Vampire speed, but I will need strong people to hold post up for a minute or five so that I can do the rest.”
“I see what you are getting at. Good plan,” Andy says, impressed with the young Alpha.
That evening the foundations were done to start building, “you do know that foundation should cure for at least seven days?” Andy asked Jerimiah.
“Yes, but there are some things that we can start building tonight like furniture and play parks and so on. I spend the afternoon setting up tents so for the next couple of days the families will be glamping, I got them only the best beds and sheets.”
“Where did you get the money?” Andy asked.
“Unlike Elizbeth that forced you all to stay in wolf form after the big attack seventeen years ago my family and original pack generated a good income, and my father was into online investing and luckily he invested in the right stock as most of it is ten-fold its value today. Don’t worry about finance, there is enough for the next hundred generations,” Jerimiah assures Andy with a pad on the shoulder.
“All the teams are ready at the sites. I already showed them the plans for the play parks and furniture pieces. I will be moving extremely fast. We should be done in an hour,” Jerimiah says and before Andy knew it the wood pieces that were in his hands is now dining room chair.
An hour later playparks suited for dogs and key furniture pieces were all done, “that is it for tonight, time to have ourselves a shifting ceremony.” Jerimiah composes himself as he pushes his vampire system to the back of his mind.
Andy is about to get into the passenger side of a brand-new pick-up-truck when Jerimiah throws him the keys, “she is all yours.”
“Are you sure?” Andy asked as he catches the keys.
“Yes, I am.”
After a night of about two hundred shiftings, the night was filled with excitement and teenagers celebrating. Jerimiah made sure to have a little pocket mirror for each teen as he knew they would want to know what their human-self looks like.
“I am going to call it a night and leave the teenagers to party. See you at your house in the morning,” Andy greets Jerimiah.
“See you.” Jerimiah decided to join the party of crazy teenagers and saw it as finally celebrating his own shifting of a year ago.
Later that evening when all the teenagers went to their tents Jerimiah laid awake as his vampire side made it so that he does not need sleep. Feeling restless he decided to go to Blanchette’s house. Jerimiah knew that he most likely won’t be able to enter her house but hoped that he could just watch her through the window.
Jerimiah decided not to use his Vampire speed as he wanted to ride his bike. Thirty minutes later when he got near Blanchette’s house he left his bike about one kilometer away as to not make a noise. As he sped up to her house with vampire speed, he noticed one light on and wondered if that is Blanchette’s room or her mother’s.
Jerimiah uses his Vampire abilities and quickly taps on the window and speeds off to hide behind the nearest tree. Nothing happens so he does it again. The second time he noticed Blanchette’s mother peeking through the window. Jerimiah wondered which window belongs to Blanchette’s room. Jerimiah speeds around the house and then noticed a girly dream catcher hanging in one of the windows.
‘I wonder if it has any abilities and what it would be or is it just a decor item?’ Jerimiah wonders as he peeks through the window, happy to find the curtains open.
The room is dark but with his good night vision, he can quickly see that the room belongs to Blanchette as it is a typical teenage girl room with boyband posters and wait, what is that he sees stuck on her dressing table mirror?
