“Thank you so much for coming, I’ll give you a ring tomorrow” Annie said waving to her friend at the door. The house was finally empty and a complete mess. I had bin bag in my hand and throwing the empty bottles and paper plates into it from the kitchen. Annie came in and started washing up any utensils that had been used. The party went really well and everyone seemed to have had a great time. By the end of it people were merry on alcohol and they left in high spirits. Dan was clearing up in the garden which left me and Annie alone.
“Thank you for today” she said. I grinned and replied “you deserved it”. I took a big yawn and tied up the full bag of rubbish. Annie came over and took it from me.
