Maeve's POV
What woke me up was the feel of a heavy arm on my body. I was so used to waking up alone that it felt strange, and it took me a minute to remember where I was. To remember who was lying behind me.
I froze and stood up from the bed. I felt Declan tense when my body had frozen, but if he wanted to play asleep, let him. I couldn’t find a care in me to give.
I grabbed my phone and looked at the time. It was 5:37 am, which meant I had a good night's sleep regarding what happened. Nothing could get between me and my sleep.
At least something was good about the night. I slid off the bed and sat on the edge as I put my shoes on. I was suddenly very happy that I had worn Nikes to the party. I couldn’t imagine having to trek across the campus in heels right now.
