Foreword

Foreword Love is like a cat. It comes to you when it wants to. It’s selfish at times, playful and funny. In most cases it comes out at night and disappears during the day. It’s fussy and has sharp ends that can hurt, so you may ask what is love? How do you know that what you feel inside your heart is love? Even worse, how do you not love? How do you remove love from your heart, when all you have ever known, was how to give it, freely? Especially when it is imprinted in your being. I’m afraid I don't have the answers to any of these questions. The answer will be different to all experiencing it. Some people are lucky enough to experience it more than once in a lifetime, whereas others will never get to experience it at all. Some push it aside, afraid to get hurt and others take it for granted. Sometimes love gets confused for lust, obsession even. Other times loneliness makes you think that what you feel is love. All I know is, life cannot exist without it. It’s an endless loop, never ending, always on the move. You never know where it will take you and just like a cat, you never know what it will bring you. That's the thing about love, it's so beautiful and mysterious, and magical. I believe we all deserve a chance at love, because we all deserve something magical. Whether it is a friend that you love dearly, a partner who takes your breath away, a family member or your children… Fact is, love can make you do crazy things which you normally wouldn’t do.
