“You better not let it happen again,” Galen warned. Thoughts of another spanking were quickly resurrected. He helped Galen free herself from the irritating sheet of wallpaper, so she could hang it properly. As the next two days progressed, there were more little, and not so little things, about Adrian’s behavior that both puzzled and irritated Galen. He was tardy, careless, and becoming more like the lazier Adrian that had pissed her off before. When he disappeared altogether one day after lunch, that was the last straw.
