Good girl for the Alpha

Here we go again....

"So here we go again... another day of hell" Evelyn thought as her alarm was beeping loudly next to her. Her body aches from scrubbing the floors by hand the day before, only for everyone to come walking in making it all dirty again. "Why me... I must have been so bad in a previous life" she thought as she swung her legs over the side of the bed and turned off her alarm. She quickly put her red hair back in a ponytail, got dressed and rushed to the kitchen to cook breakfast before everyone else woke up.

Just as she finished making the last pancake and pouring the freshly squeezed orange juice into a jug, she could hear movement from upstairs. "Great, they're awake..." she thought as she hurried to set the table. Her mother and father came down first, didn't even acknowledge her and sat down. They were followed by her two older sisters and brother, all of which reacted the same as their parents, not even a single glance in Evelyn's direction. They all spoke to each other, shoving the food and orange juice down their throats whilst Evelyn snuck away to her room with a single pancake and a small glass of juice. She knew she wasn't allowed to speak or make a sound, she was there to serve them and that was all.

Evelyn was a mistake, her mother didn't want another child. Her mother made sure Evelyn knew this and made it clear that she was to remain quiet "seen and not heard" but none of them even looked at her anymore... which suited her just fine. Whist everyone else was happily talking and eating, Evelyn quickly ate her pancake, drank her juice, grabbed her bag and snuck out of the front door to make her way to college.

On her way she was daydreaming, dreaming of being in love with someone who would look at her like she was special, their one and only, someone who would look after her and would love her like their life depended on their love. In the distance she heard her name being called bringing her slowly back to reality. "Hey Eve wait up!" someone shouted as they rushed up behind her. Kayleigh was her best friend, her only friend! "daydreaming again Eve?!" Kayleigh asked with a smirk on her face. "Yeah... of my non existent knight in shining armour that won't come and save me from this hell called life!" Evelyn exclaimed before they both giggled at each other. "Yeah Yeah me too!" Kayleigh said inbetween giggles. They linked arms and made their way to the coffee shop just on the corner of the college grounds.

They made their way to a booth, ordered a coffee and a muffin each and was discussing their classes for the day when she saw him....

A guy who was tall, dark hair that was styled neatly, deliciously dark eyes that was staring at her like he'd never seen a girl before.. Kayleigh was still talking to her but she couldn't hear her, she was caught in the eyes of this mysterious guy who wouldn't take his eyes off her. Then all of a sudden another guy approached him and whispered in his ear ... "Sh*t!" he muttered before storming out of the coffee shop.

"Hellooooo! Earth to Eve!!" Kayleigh said waving her hands in front of Evelyn's face to grab her attention. "Kay... who was that guy at the counter?!" Evelyn asked still in a daze. "oh him... that's Damien. Not someone you should be looking at trust me! He has a bad reputation Eve! Really hot to look at but...." Evelyn got the gist and shook her head to clear it. "He was staring at me.. like I was the only one here ..." Evelyn said still looking at the door he stormed out of. "Eve you need to get out more!" Kayleigh exclaimed before they both laughed.

"Damien.... tall, dark, handsome Damien..." Evelyn thought before she shook her head again and continued her conversation about her classes.

Evelyn's day went pretty well, she was good at all of her classes and loved to study. She was given an essay assignment to do that needed to be done by the end of the week, so she sent a quick text to Kayleigh saying she was going to the library and then home. She popped her earphones in and listened to whatever song that decided to play "Never mind I'll find someone like yooouuu" she sang with her head down making her way to the library. Evelyn decided to take a shortcut down an alleyway, when she saw a guy looking at her. He had his hood up over his head, and mask covering his mouth and nose and his hands were in his pockets. Evelyn looked behind her, debating if she should turn around quickly and try to make her way out of the alley as quickly as possible... but before she could make up her mind the guy was right there in front of her!

"Sh*t!" she thought as she looked at him, and then he smirked at her....

"wtf?! are his eyes gold???" she said to herself and just before she could scream the guy jumped at her.....
