I squeezed my eyes shut in frustration. How could I tell Artemis what had gone wrong? At the same time, if I decide to go back now, I have to give a wolf an awful explanation. How could I confess to him that I slept with Xavier Gray??
Biting my lips together, I muttered weakly, looking down at my lap,
" I...I am just tired, Artemis! Please...try to convince him..."
Artemis let out a long sigh. Thankfully he didn't question anything. He replied with a shrug,
" Do you think that he would listen to me?"
I couldn't agree less on this matter. Wolf never listened to anyone including his best people. He never trusted his own shadow as well.
