Dukuh Sati village looks deserted. Only grass covered with dried blood could be seen, while on the other side, rotten corpses were strewn about. The corpses gave off a bad smell.
Not a single human in sight, at a glance. But if we examine further, there are still one or two people hiding and trying to survive in the forest.
The sight of the rotting corpses, in the silence of the settlement, does indeed create a pathetic impression. Even the dozens of monitor lizards that roam around eating the remaining carcasses, make the scene quite sad. Leaving only a few carcasses for the maggots to eat.
Deep in the forest, above the trees there is a small hut that can only accommodate one or two people. Inside is a mother holding her baby child.
