Aya Sindra brought us to a hallway with only one door and knocked. “Come in”, said a soft voice that seemed familiar to me. As we entered the office I nearly collapsed as I saw the demon, who was sitting there. “Zacel.” I cried and swung my arms around his neck. “What the hell. Who are you and why do you know the name of my twin brother?” I looked him in the eyes and wasn’t able to understand anything about his statement. I took in every inch of his face and then I saw it, a small scar near his eyebrow. No he wasn’t Zacel. I stumbled back and didn’t know what to do. “I will ask you one last time. What do you know about my brother? Sindra who on earth is this girl, and why is she talking about our dead brother?”   I looked at the stunned Sindra and back at the twin brother of my first crush, I couldn’t take it.That was too much, my tears fell to the floor and it took me a few minutes to register that the two siblings were arguing about me and Petra. It took all my willpower as I said “ENOUGH” Both of them stopped and I decided to tell them my story and apparently the story of their own dead brother. After I was done, they were speechless and Sindra tried to find the right words:” Well you must know something about Zacels past. Our family joined the revolution in the beginning, we were always pretty strong, resourceful and had a high standing among the other demons. Zacel fell in love with a human girl. He did everything he could to protect her from other demons, but as the Angels were locked back into heaven, he had to give her a contract in order to protect her. For him a contract was slavery, so he decided against it. He hid her really well but not well enough. One day he was on a mission for our cause and his girlfriend was raped several times. As he returned, he found her bleeding on the floor. She was too far gone. They did unspeakable things with her and caused internal wounds. Zacel was never able to forgive himself for not offering her a contract as a protection from other demons. It took him years to get over it and we persuaded him to go out and enjoy his life a little more. I guess he did, because he found you. He even gave you a contract. His last mission killed him. He was able to track down a human and half-blood trafficking organisation, that operates under direct supervision of the demon council. He wanted to infiltrate them and gain access to the four highest ranked demons on earth but one of the traffickers suspected something and they fought. Both of them died in the fight. The only positive thing about it is that the trafficker was dumb enough not to tell anyone about our family’s affiliation with the Revolution. We are save for now. Am I right Zecel?” The twin brother nodded and answered: “For now we are save, but I don’t know how long it will last. Aya I am sorry for what happened to you.” He didn’t wait for my response and left the room.  Sindra showed Petra and me our room and before leaving us she turned around ant took my hand in hers. “This mark is extraordinary, I don’t understand how it is possible to be both cursed and blessed, but I will find out I promise.”   After closing the door Petra took me in her arms and said: “ Girl you really have your plate full, but its your birthday and we found the Revolution so let us head out of this room, get something to eat an celebrate.” I wasn’t in the mood for celebrations but as I saw Petras happy face I nodded, we took our spare clothes out of the backpacks and changed before leaving our new room.
