Aya
As Petra came back from her little shopping trip I was already done with training and was surprised to see the big block of meat that she must have stolen somewhere.
“Bon appetit my friend,” she said smiling.
We roasted some of the meat with our diy campfire that we also used to keep us warm at night and made a side dish with some leftover bred and tomatoes.
“Aya I have to tell you something but please don’t ask me why I did what I did.”
I was confused about her statement but nodded, nevertheless.
“I went to area X and found some strange engravings in different houses and apartments. >> Join R> Join Redball> Join Romans>Join a demon whose name starts with an R<< Any other ideas Petra?”
She was silent but I saw that she was thinking hard about the meaning of those bullshit letters, when it hit me.
“Join the Revolution” we both screamed in union.
“That has to be it Petra. It is about the revolution. Oh my god we need to go to area X and find them.”
“Don’t be silly we can’t just go there unprepared. We need weapons, food and a plan before going there.
She was completely right, and we spent the whole night planning our trip to find the revolution. We needed a lot of time to get our hands on two big knives and a gun for me because Petra didn’t need one with her abilities. The days went by and we finally packed a few bottles of water, cheese sandwiches and apples and left for area X.
This leads me to today one day before my sixteenth birthday as I mentioned before. We decided to leave in the late afternoon because we needed the protection of the dark to move unnoticed.
First Petra led me to the houses and apartments where she found the strange engravings and we searched for more clues about the revolutions’ whereabouts but nada. Frustrated we decided to take a break and eat something before we continued with our search. I was already really late when we decided to leave and come back the next day. Exiting the house, we found us surrounded by four people covered in black hoods one of them came forward, pointed his finger at Petra and said, “That’s her. She sniffed around here some time ago. I remember her she has fire powers.”
All hell broke loose. The four figures didn’t seem to listen as I wanted to explain myself and Petra.
One moved with such speed that I wasn’t even able to see him properly; I just fired my gun at everything moving and hoped to hit him. The second one who apparently really wanted to kill me with his powers was a blessed one with laser like beams that burned everything into crisps as soon as they made contact with something.
The other two hooded maniacs tried to hurt Petra, but I couldn’t make out what species they belonged to because I had all hands full with those two idiots who didn’t want to listen to me.
I screamed at them to hear me out and tried to reason with them, but they didn’t seem to care.
My heart skipped a beat as Petra cried out. She was on the ground and one of the attackers sat on top of her.
