KELLEN The days had passed by slowly and I understood why prisoners would make tally marks in the cells to count the days. I had no idea how long I had been here, three, maybe four weeks? It was two days until the opening day when the Gladiator games would begin. That much I knew. 28 days of challenges. 28 days of fighting to survive. When Teal explained the specifics of the month-long games, he told us how we wouldn’t just be fighting each other but slaves or volunteers from surrounding packs, their champions.
