CHAPTER THREE: I HAVE HANDS!

Mr. Alexandra gave his secretary some orders which Anna could not hear. She was fixated on her phone as she was surfing the internet looking for some interesting and delicious delicacies she could make at home since it was her day off. After a while, Mr. Alexandra’s secretary strolled to where Anna was seated.“My master ordered me to escort you to a hotel which is nearby, he said he will join you there after a while, he has to take care of something before he will be able to join you.” Mr. Alexandra’s secretary explained with a straight face that gave no emotions, it was like he was a different being. Though his speech and words were noting like Roberto’s which was cold and rude, his was not so friendly.“A hotel? Anna asked with a disturbed expression as she stood up slowly from where she sat. “I’m sorry, but I don’t think I have any business with your master other than what we discussed earlier, I should head home.” She continued as she started walking away. Mr. Bryan Roberto’s secretary stopped Anna. “Miss, the CEO asked me to escort you safely to a hotel which I mentioned earlier, he said he had something to discuss with you concerning what you discussed with him earlier. Though he didn’t tell me the details, I’m sure it’s something important” Mr. Bryan Roberto’s secretary explained briefly.Anna and Mr. Bryan were ushered into the hotel by few ladies who treated them with so much respect. It was a very expensive hotel. Barely looking at the exterior structure of the building, Anna could only imagine how expensive a room would cost. They were brought to the top floor where Anna could only see a room, she thought this room was worth ten times more expensive than the ones she saw on the other floors. When she was on the second floor, she thought she couldn’t afford a room there and how this room, “this is enough to buy me” she chuckled. Anna only heard about this hotel from few people who had visited the bar and could not afford a room, they called it a beautiful place but this place was breathtaking to her. Only wealthy people could experience the beautiful place she was seeing right now, it was like a dream she didn’t want to wake up from.“Miss, Miss!” Mr. Bryan Roberto’s secretary held Anna’s shoulder as he snapped her back to reality. “Miss please get seated, the waitress will attend to you when you press the bell, and I will head back to the office now.” Mr. Bryan said. “It not a dream after all” Anna whispered to herself smiling. “Are you talking to me, miss?” Mr. Bryan asked after he barely heard what she said. “Ah, No you can go now.” Anna replied with a benevolent smile that showcased her cute dimples, she sat on the soft and comfy chair, bouncing gently. “Wow! This is a really nice place” she whispered to herself. It was a room painted white with black curtains and a white and black bed spread, a brown side table with arranged books on it and a chair for sitting. A white sofa, and a black rug, in fact, everything in the room were black and white. The frame, the wardrobe, everything. It’s a nice place” Anna mumbled. After a while, Roberto came in. He removed his jacket and a white shirt was left on him.” Sir, your secretary said you have something to say to me” Anna said as she stood up immediately.“Call me Roberto” he corrected with a charming smile. “Okay, Roberto” Anna replied forcing a smile. “Great!” he replied again with his calm and breathtaking smile. “Oh no, this can’t be happening, why is he smiling at me now?” Anna thought as her heart rate began to rise. “Sir, err, Roberto, sorry please can I know why you brought me here?” Anna said. “Oh! Okay” Roberto said as his handsome face went back to its cold and frightening state, which always signifies, “DO NOT COME NEAR ME”. He rang the bell as he summoned Mr. Jake. Good day CEO, Good day Miss Anna” Mr. Jake said with a bow as he came in. “my master here will like to give you a contract. You will be married to him for six months and then you will be paid for your services”. Mr. Jake explained briefly with a charming smile. “What!! Me, married to the person whom I met last night, what do you mean by that?” Anna was so shocked. “Well Miss Anna, my master apologizes greatly for what he has done, it was a mistake as I told you earlier”. Mr. Jake apologized. Anna looked at Roberto and still saw his cold face, but there was a slight flash of pain in his eyes which disappeared in seconds. “Come and have lunch”, he said after a minute of silence as he stood up and left. Anna followed him some minutes later.“Wow! so delicious”, Anna said to herself as she bit the beef, she started eating without even remembering that she was with someone who in the same room with her. On the other hand, Roberto, he ate like a prince. He didn’t even make a sound with his dish nor stain his clothe. There were neither food remains by the side of his mouth nor on the table, he was indeed a wealthy young man with refined etiquettes. As he was done eating, he started with a bright smile, “we should hurry up so we can go get ready for the registration for our marriage” he said with a calm tone. “What!!! What do you mean by marriage registration? Anna yelled in disbelieve, as she spat the remains of the milk in her mouth on Roberto’s face. “I am so sorry, I didn't mean to I can clean you up, I am so sorry” she apologized immediately shaking in fright as Mr. Jake ran to the dining. “I have hands” he said with a very cold voice and a hint of disgust as he stood up and left.Anna sighed, “Mr. Jake please help me to apologize to him I did not do it on purpose he startled me”, Anna complained. “Don’t worry, I will take care of it, he will be fine.” Mr. Jake assured her. “Okay, thank you” she finally said as Mr. Jake told her. “Make yourself comfortable, they would soon be here” Mr. Jake said as he started walking away. “Who? Anna asked but he was already out of sight, “he walks really fast”, Anna sighed as she looked at the food, she was already filled, and Roberto already filched her appetite with his rude behaviour. The dining was cleared by some ladies though Anna tried to help, they didn’t allow her to instead, they led her to the sofa and switched on the TV. It was actually a nice place even the word nice was an understatement. It had a royal aura and it was also pleasant to stay in, Anna couldn’t help herself so she just continued admiring the place forgetting the movie she was watching. Some minutes later, the bell rang.
