Elena was helping Aurora pack her few belongings when they heard a knock at the door. It was Tuesday morning, and Aurora had been discharged from the hospital the day before. They were planning to leave for Lysandria by the end of the week.
"Are you expecting anyone?" Elena asked.
Aurora shook her head. "Maybe it's the landlord coming to check on the apartment."
Elena walked to the door and looked through the peephole. She saw a well-dressed elderly woman standing in the hallway with two men in dark suits behind her.
"There's an old woman here with what looks like bodyguards," Elena told Aurora quietly.
"Bodyguards?" Aurora asked nervously. "Should we call the police?"
Elena thought about this. The woman looked familiar, but she couldn't place where she had seen her before.
