The next morning I woke up and headed ro work. Finnagan was asleep on the couch snoring softly. When I got to work Holly and Bailey met me in the kitchen.
" What happened tell us everything! "
Holly was so excited as she started making the eggs. Bailey grabbed the pancake mix and added.
" Tell us what our future Alpha needed our Quinnie for. "
I laughed and started telling them about my night. Including the Cassidy incident and Kogua asking Finnagan to court me. Holly was dumbfounded.
" The future Alpha asked your father for a proper courtship? That's so strange usually an Alpha would want his mate. "
Her words stung but they were true. It didn't make since to me either. Alphas would want their mate. I suddenly ly felt over whelmed and had to sit down. I felt a tear fall down. I was only a few days from my 18th birthday and I hadn't even met my wolve yet. I was starting to worry I didn't even have one at this point. A wolf less Werewolve. Holly patted my back.
" I'm sorry Quinn. "
I wiped my tears.
" No Holly I was just thinking about my wolf. "
She nodded her head.
" All good things with time. I'm sure you will get your wolf soon. Don't worry. "
I sighed.
" With out my wolf..... I'll never find my mate... what if I don't have one? "
Bailey laughed.
" What if your mate is Alpha Kogua? "
I laughed then.
" Bailey don't be ridiculous. Alphas mate Alphas, they don't stay with omegas. I'm a fling, a phase. something one day he will roll his eyes about. "
The door opened to the kitchen and Alpha Kogua walked in. His eyes locking on me as I swallowed the little water in my mouth. He stomped across the floor grabbing my hand. He looked around the room.
" Any of you think this woman is a phase? a fling ? so.ething any man would roll his eyes at? "
The girls I grew up around all shook their heads in stunned silence. I didn't know what to do when he spun me in his arms and kissed me. Locking his lips onto mine as he seemed to devour me at the same time. When he pulled back he looked around the room.
" Quinn is not to be courted by any other males. if any male so much as smiles in her direction I want to know immediately am I understood? "
" Yes Alpha! "
The omegas spoke in harmony. He turned and left the kitchen. Holly grabbed my arm.
" Quinnie I think your his mate. "
I didn't know what to do. His kiss had bruised my lips. I tried to work but kept getting distracted. Holly laughed.
" Go home you love sick puppy, we got the rest of today. "
" Holly I cant leave you girls, Mary never missed work. "
Holly put her hands on her hips.
" And bless her soul where did it get her? Take a day off to sort of your confusion. You have an Alpha after you girl. "
I nodded heading out the door. The smile creeping across my lips couldn't have been better. I was almost home. I could see my house. I heard a snap in the woods near me and jumped.
" Jumpy aren't we omega slut. "
Cassidy walked out near me. I stiffened. Mary's wisdom yelling in my head.
" don't look at her, just take the beating and clean yourself up. "
" Daddy said he won't kill you for being a stress relief to Kogua but I will not allow some omega take what should be Sarah's place. Learn your place mutt! "
She kicked my stomach and I fell forward grabbing where I knew she bruised me. She pulled back kicking me again. I coughed as she kicked my face. I tried to cover my face but then I saw it. a pair of scissors. I tried ro run to get away but she grabbed my hair ripping my bun out and grabbing large clumps and cutting it off.
" You should have stayed in the kitchen dog breath! You might have kept your ugly hair longer than way! Let's see how highly Kogua speaks of you now! He will see you and come running for my bestie and future sister in law for sure. "
She dropped me leaving me to cry in the road. I felt sick to my stomach. I wanted to hurl. What would I do now. I got up stumbling home. When I hit inside I locked the door behind me. I could smell finnagans coffee as he greeted me.
" Hey Quinnie your home early today... Quinnie what happened to you? "
I looked at Finnagan and shook my head. He sighed putting his coffee down. He headed to the kitchen.
" I'll call Holly she can fix it. "
I sat numb in my chair watching some fishing show with Finnagan. He looked over at me. Shame and guilt in his eyes.
" I never should have brought you here Quinnie.... Your not safe. "
I shook my head.
" Its okay, we can't hate everything over one person. I love my omegas, and my job, Alpha and Luna have been amazing to us. We have a lovely home and I'm okay. "
Finnagan turned his head when the door opened. I was expecting Holly but not Kogua. He stood at the door looking at me his eyes in rage he growled before he slammed the door shut and left. Holly walked in soon afterwards.
" Any reason Alpha Kogua ran here bare foot? "
When she turned to look at me she gasped. She came over looking at my hair cut above and below my ears in spots all over my head. She grabbed a pair of scissors and sighed.
" Well it's time we gave you a new hair cut anyways. "
