Chapter 3
Dahlia
I heard a gruff voice ask me what the matter was and I jumped, not realising anyone was in with her with me. I looked up at him and I didn't recognise who this person was, but he was tall, dark-haired and GOD he was handsome. Shaking my head, Dahlia: “It doesn't matter, please leave me alone”, tucking my head back down onto my knees and stared at the floor, emotionless Saint: “Well, clearly there's something wrong you're sitting in a darkened classroom crying” who is this guy, why is he here; why does he care. Dahlia: “Why are you even asking you attend the school you've probably seen? Its everywhere….Oh God” I whisper as my phone pings again with another notification from my friends, telling me they want nothing to do with someone like me. As I read this, I cover my face with my hands and start sobbing again. I have never felt so alone in my life until right now. I truly have no one.
Then all I heard was a large sigh and a lighter spark and I looked up. Dahlia: “Why are you still here?” I stared at him in confusion. Saint: “Look, I'm new here and you don't know me, but I'm not leaving you hear like this. So just tell me what's the matter” shaking my head, unsure of whether to tell this stranger what was going on. He was new here. This was one person in the entire school who had no idea who I was and what was going around about me. I could just not tell him and he'd be no the wiser until *ping* and he pulled out his phone. He stared in utter shock at what he’d seen and there it was. I had no way of escaping this. Dahlia:”Well now you know why I'm in here”, him taking a long drag of his cigarette, never taking his eyes off his screen. Saint: “Jesus Christ” he said in a shaky breath. Saint: “An…And this is…is” Dahlia: “Me” I say, hiding my face once again in shame. Saint: “ Hey, 1. Don't be ashamed of this, you look beautiful. 2. Whoever did this deserves whatever is coming to him. If I was him I'd want to keep these all to myself (he smirked) and 3. Stop those tears, they aren't worth your sadness” he said in such a calm and caring voice as he grabbed my chin, making me look at him.
I looked into his eyes and I got lost like I was Alice and falling down the rabbit hole. He smirked at me and wiped the tears off my face, making me smile. Just then, we heard the bang of the classroom door and we both moved away from each other. I moved my eyes towards the loud bang and fear plastered my face. It was Noah. Noah: Look what we have here, Dahlia. What are you doing in here? Your pictures haven't been out long and yet you are already taking customers into the darkened halls of the school” he said, smirking. I stood up and tried to leave the classroom and he grabbed my wrist, really tight and got really close to my face and whispered Noah: “Youre such a w***e, f*****g any person that comes along, look at you”. He spat and as he said this I was yanked away from and into the arms of the handsome stranger Saint: “Dont talk to her like that, guessing your the b*****d who sent those photos around” i look down and his hands are balled into fists; his knuckles have turned white and i felt like i had to resolve this before it gets out of hand Dahlia: “Look, Noah it doesnt concern you what im doing in here with…. with”? I stared at him, Saint: “Oh,, urm Saint”. He looked at me and gave me the most beautiful smile and I turned my head back towards Noah, scowling, Dahlia: “ YOU (poking him in his chest) have no say in who I'm with and what I do anymore, Noah. I thought you loved me and I was so happy. We spent 3 years together, 3 years of my life wasted….so STAY AWAY FROM ME”!
Pushing past him, I stormed back through the hall and outside, walking towards my car. I wasn't gonna hang around to get stares from judging bystanders and abuse from HIM. I scrambled to get my keys as I was about to open my door. I was standing behind me. Saint: “ Bit rude… you know my name but I don't know yours” I turned and murmured Dahlia: “ Its Dahlia, Dahlia Adair. Nice to meet you and thank you” Thank you. I smiled and turned towards my car, Saint: “ Well, where are you going” he asked, tilting his head like an adorable golden retriever puppy. I sighed and turned around again, Dahlia: “ Well, I'm not staying here, gonna go for a drive and it looks like you aren't gonna leave me alone, so do you want to come with me”. I asked him, already regretting the question, Saint: “Okay, but I'm driving”. Snatching my keys, he slid into the driver's seat and beckoned me into my car.
Once I sat down, I turned to him as he revved the car. I couldnt help but stare. He was so handsome; from looking at him in the classroom I already knew he was tall (over 6ft), with dark, jet black hair that was messily scraped back and beautiful, glowing green eyes that drew you in and didnt let you go. And peacking out from underneath his leather jacket and plain white T, he had a dark tattoo wrapping around his neck. He turned his head and caught me staring and my breath hitched in my throat, all he did was stare and slowly a smirk painted on his face. Dahlia: “So, seeing as you are now driving, why don't you take me somewhere, anywhere, as long as its away from here” without hesitation, he nodded and sped out of the carpark and onto the main road going out of town.
