Lucas sat on the edge of the bed, he watched Desi across the room, standing in front of the mirror, brushing her long hair. She looked so natural, so effortlessly beautiful, and for a moment, he let himself just admire her, his soon-to-be wife, the mother of his children, the woman who had endured so much for him. A warm feeling filled his chest, but it was accompanied by something heavier. A decision he had made. Desi met his gaze through the mirror, her brown eyes filled with silent curiosity.
