Lucas stalked back and forth in front of the clinic, the cold air doing little to cool the heat rising within him. His fists clenched and unclenched as he fought the urge to turn around, march back inside, and force Desi to listen to him. The clinic’s glass doors reflected his dark, brooding expression as he glared at his own distorted image. For years, Lucas had controlled everything in his life with precision and power.
