Chapter Six

Colton The moment those words left my lips, she raised her head up towards my direction. Her face held undecipherable expression as she looked at me. I moved fully inside her room and sat down on the bed beside her. She moved away from me like I had a disease. “Are you here to console me or are you here to mock me?" She asked without looking at me. “Anyone you feel like I'm here to do." Came my reply. As I stared at her, I couldn't help but ask myself why it had to be her. Of all people, why did he pick her? I had thought she would make a great girlfriend that day I saw her on the mine field. My palm folded into a fist and I punched hard on the bed. “How does it feel to know you have stepchildren that are older than you?" She looked at me then turned her eyes away like I never asked a question. “I just asked a question young woman." “I am not obligated to give you an answer to that question, I would appreciate it if you leave my room Colton." “Your room?" I drawled. “Do you have a room here?" Her sharp gaze on my face felt like a thousand blades was thrown at me. I swallowed down the stupid emotions rising up my throat. She doesn't deserve me, she was nothing but a w***e. I reassured myself. “When you're done talking, please leave." I chuckled. “And you think I would leave." “Do you why we agreed to stay here?" She looked me in the face then looked away before responding. “The reason is quite obvious, you want to avenge your late mother's death." I shook my head. “Wrong. I don't know for my brothers, but I agreed to stay here only because I want to make sure you never have a say in our family. You don't belong here because you aren't a member of the Hudson family." I said through gritted teeth. She exhaled sharply but said nothing in defense. That wasn't the reaction I wanted to see. I wanted her to feel pained, I wanted to see the pained expression on her face. “Okay. I get what you're saying, now can you please leave. I need to rest, I'm tired." She said but I wasn't having it. She can't order me around anyhow she pleased. She should know her place. In the span of two heartbeats, I had her pinned to the bed with my hand pressed down on her neck. She hit my hand in a desperate bid to release her neck. “I want to make one thing clear to you Leslie. You have no authority whatsoever to oder me around. Do you understand?" She nodded against my palm. “Good." I muttered and let go of her neck. She coughed like she was about to die. That'd have been better, she should go keep her husband company in hell where he probably was burning to ashes. Without looking back, I walked out of her room and banged the door hard. I hoped that would give her a terrible migraine that'd last for a week. I met Fabian stepping out of my room when I arrived. “What did you steal this time?" I asked without a hint of smile on my face. Fabian was fond of taking my things with the excuse that we were triplets and we were allowed to use each other things. “I'm hurt that you already tagged me as a thief." I shrugged. “It's not like it's my fault." I mumbled. He chuckled. “Anyways that wasn't what brought me here. Kael summoned us which brings me to the topic; why the hell did you not answer your darn phone, what is the use of the phone if you are not going to pick your calls?" I pulled out my phone. Ten missed calls, did someone die? I flashed my phone at him. “Why did you call me ten times as if someone who was about to die requested to see me for the last time." “Stop yelling at me man, it not as if I was the who asked to see you. Go yell at Kael." I hissed and entered inside my room. “Aren't you coming with me?" Fabian asked over his shoulder. “Allow me change into something comfortable will you.” I snapped. He rolled his eyes and raised his hand up in defeat. “Take your time." “Do well to close the door." He folded his arms. “Don't tell me you're shy of dressing before me.” He had on a smug smile on his face. Oh creator of heavens, why did you make this asshole my brother? I sighed. “Stop being a pain in my ass Fabian and get the hell out of my room.” “I seriously want to but I don't know why I always enjoyed teasing you. Anyways hurry up, Samuel is already there waiting for us.” I hissed. Half an hour later thanks to Fabian, we walked out of my room and headed towards the Alpha's den where Kael and Samuel was already waiting. “You both are forty minutes late than the agreed time." Kael said as he eyed both Fabian and me. “Yeah. We are, thanks to the i***t beside me." I muttered beneath my breath. “As future leaders of blood moon pack, you three ought to work with time." I scoffed. Work with time my ass, I never liked this man since before I had to leave the pack house with my brothers thirteen years ago. Everything about him was so fake and forced around my father. Who knows whether he also had eyes on the Alpha's seat. He probably was the one who sent assassin's to shoot an arrow at my father. I cleared my throat and sat down. “Can we start already. I'm a busy person.” Kael glared at me but he was wise enough not to say anything.
