RAINE’S POV I was barely out of the car in front of the counselling centre before I spotted Talon. He stood a little off to the side, right behind this heavy-duty pickup truck that looked like it should cost him ten years of his savings. He was leaning back against the tailgate, arms crossed, ankles loosely stacked as if time didn’t exist for him. His brown hair was everywhere, like it had been caught in a wind but in a weirdly perfect, movie-boy kind of way. Seriously, it should’ve looked messy.
