RAINE’S POV The car slowed down in front of the building, and an uneasy flutter stirred in my chest. The uneasiness only grew. It was like all the excitement had been drained from my body. I feigned a smile for my friends. I was supposed to be happy, not anxious, or scared. This was my moment. The chance for the world to know what Raine Mercer was capable of, to see who I was.
