Bernard POV I barely slept all night. Every time I closed my eyes, I could see Vanya's confident face as she threw cake at my family and told me our marriage was over. The humiliation burned in my chest like acid, and by six in the morning, I couldn't stand lying in bed anymore. I got dressed quickly and drove straight to Fernandez Real Estate. They opened at eight, but I sat in the parking lot for an hour before that, planning exactly what I was going to say. I needed answers, and I wasn't leaving without them.
