The sound of waves slowly echoed across the island as Julie woke up early in the morning. She looked around the hut and noticed that only three boys were sleeping.
“Where’s Rickey?” she wondered.
Julie walked outside and saw Rickey sitting alone near the beach with a dull expression on his face.
“What happened?” Julie asked as she walked toward him.
“Nothing,” Rickey replied quietly.
Julie sat beside him. “Don’t you want to share with me? I’m part of your group too, right?”
Still, Rickey answered, “It’s nothing.”
Julie was about to leave when the other boys woke up and came outside. Seeing Rickey and Julie together, they walked toward them and sat nearby.
After a moment of silence, Rickey finally asked them,
“Should we tell her about the gate and the other world or not?”
The boys discussed quietly for some time before making a decision.
Rickey looked at Julie seriously.
“If we tell you this, don’t tell anyone. This secret stays only between us five.”
Julie nodded curiously.
The boys then explained everything about the mysterious gate and the strange world beyond it. After listening carefully, Julie suddenly laughed.
“Do you really want me to believe this?”
The boys looked at each other awkwardly.
“You believe it or don’t believe it, that’s your choice,” they said. “But don’t tell anyone.”
Suddenly, all four boys stretched their hands forward together.
“Welcome to the group… The Gate Seekers!”
Julie laughed again.
“So this is your mystery-solving group name?”
The boys proudly replied, “Yes.”
Smiling, Julie joined her hand with theirs.
Deep inside, the boys still felt there was no real reason to tell her everything, but now they could openly discuss the other world in front of her.
After some time, Vickey suddenly stood up.
“Alright! Let’s play!”
Everyone changed into beach clothes and happily started playing in the water. While playing, they suddenly noticed a ship arriving near the island.
“That’s not my father’s friend’s ship,” Rickey said in confusion.
Soon, a new family stepped onto the island—a man, a woman, and two twin girls.
Both groups were surprised to see each other. After talking for some time, they introduced themselves.
The parents were Henry and Tracy, and the twins were Stacy and Samhitha.
The Gate Seekers showed them the island and the hut they had built together.
“You kids built this?” Henry asked in shock.
“Yes!” they replied excitedly.
Henry smiled proudly after seeing the large hut.
“You guys really worked hard. This is impressive.”
“Thank you!” they all replied together.
The rest of the day passed happily as everyone played in the forest, enjoyed the beach, talked together, and watched the sunset near the shore.
As night arrived, they gathered pieces of wood and lighted a campfire near the beach. Everyone sat around the warm fire under the dark sky filled with stars. They sang songs together, danced around the fire, laughed loudly, and enjoyed the peaceful night happily.
Finally, after spending time near the campfire, everyone returned to the hut and slept peacefully.
And just like that, Day 3 on the island came to an end.
