Chapter 17: Day 10 - Blood and Confessions

Morning arrived, and Day 10 on Twin 1 Island began peacefully.
After waking up, Leon’s family prepared to return to the Giant World. Before leaving, Henry waved his hand with a smile.
“Let’s meet again some other time!”
Soon, Leon’s family disappeared through the gate and returned to their world.
After breakfast, Henry gathered all the children together.
“Today,” he announced excitedly, “we’re going to Twin 2 Island for hunting!”
Everyone became excited immediately. The children grabbed their tools while Rickey quietly picked up his axe, waiting for another chance to use it.
Using two life boats, Henry and the seven kids crossed the sea and entered the larger and darker Twin 2 Island.
Deep inside the forest, they finally spotted a deer peacefully eating grass.
Since Henry didn’t have a bow, he quickly sharpened a stick and threw it like a spear. The stick hit the deer, injuring it slightly before it started running away.
“Run after it!” Henry shouted.
Everyone chased behind the deer while collecting the missed sticks for Henry to throw again. But none of the other attacks landed properly.
Finally, Henry changed direction and ran from the left side, slowly getting closer to the deer. At the perfect moment, he jumped onto it, grabbed its neck tightly, and repeatedly stabbed it with his dagger.
The deer struggled violently but slowly collapsed dead.
Everyone carried the deer proudly and began returning toward the shore.
But suddenly—
Rickey and Henry both heard heavy footsteps.
“Stop,” Henry warned quietly.
The sounds came closer.
Then without warning—
A cheetah burst from the trees and jumped directly at Rickey.
Everyone screamed in fear.
Rickey instantly raised his axe as protection. The blade struck inside the cheetah’s mouth, cutting it badly before the animal jumped backward growling in pain.
Henry rushed beside Rickey holding two daggers.
The cheetah attacked again.
Rickey swung the axe quickly, slicing the side of its mouth. The animal cried loudly but still charged forward one more time.
This time Rickey stepped ahead instead of backward.
Shouting loudly, he swung the axe with all his strength.
SLASH!
The cheetah was sliced vertically into two parts.
Blood sprayed across Rickey’s entire body.
Silence filled the forest.
Julie collapsed in fear after seeing the brutal scene while everyone else stood frozen in shock. Even Rickey himself looked terrified by what he had done.
Henry slowly placed a hand on Rickey’s shoulder. “It’s over now,” he said calmly. “Let’s go back.”
The group returned silently to Twin 1 Island carrying both the deer and the unconscious Julie.
Tracy became horrified after seeing Rickey covered completely in blood. Meanwhile, the others woke Julie by pouring water on her face.
Rickey quietly washed himself in the ocean before returning exhausted and falling asleep.
Later, Tracy cooked lunch using the deer meat, and everyone slowly relaxed again. By night, the fear from the forest had mostly faded away.
After dinner, everyone sat together on the sand near the ocean, talking, laughing, and listening to the waves.
Suddenly, Samhitha stood up nervously.
“I want to propose to someone,” she said softly.
Henry and Tracy immediately looked at each other and smiled awkwardly.
“Who?” everyone asked together.
Samhitha turned toward Rickey.
“Rickey… come here.”
Rickey walked toward her in surprise. She held both his hands tightly and looked straight into his eyes.
“I love you.”
Rickey blushed deeply before smiling.
“I love you too.”
Samhitha happily hugged him, and Rickey hugged her back while everyone around them cheered loudly.
A few moments later, Julie suddenly stood up too and called Vickey forward.
Holding each other’s hands nervously, they confessed their feelings as well.
Everyone laughed, clapped, and teased both couples while the two blushed shyly.
Finally, after a long and unforgettable day, everyone returned to the hut and slowly fell asleep.
And just like that—
Day 10 on the island came to an end.
