Showtime Dante

**Ian's POV** What do we do?!? Dante was yelling in my head. We messed up. I hadn't expected her story to take that turn. Dante's anger slipped through before I could catch it. She saw Dante trying to push through. Thankfully, I was able to reign him back in quickly. But the damage was done. I watched as Ari sat in her bed. She was pushed all the way up to her headboard as far as she possibly could go to get away from us. Do we move closer? Dante was pacing in my head. "What do you want me to do, Ari?" I asked. "I can leave or I can stay and answer any of your questions." I needed to go at her pace. She was silent for a long time. "Are you going to hurt me?" She finally asked. I couldn't stay away. I walked over to her side of the bed and sank to my knees with my hands clapsed in front of me on the bed. "I would NEVER hurt you Ari. Neither would my wolf. You mean too much to us. " "Your wolf?" She looked at me with a question in her eyes. "There are basically two occupying my mind. Myself and my wolf subconscience. His name is Dante." Ari was quiet again. Thinking about what I just told her. This was probably going to be a pattern. But we needed to let her guide the conversation. "And Dante has his own feelings and thoughts?" Ari asked. I smiled slightly. "Yes, very different. He doesn't agree with my choices a lot of the time and voices his opinion very loudly." "And Dante is the one with the starry eyes?" "Starry eyes?" I asked, confused. "They are so black but they have little flecks of light in them. It reminded me of the night sky when the stars are out." At least it didn't remind her of a demon. Excuse me. I am anything but a demon. Dante shot back at my thought. I chuckled. "What is funny?" Ari asked me. She seemed to relax slightly. She wasn't pushing herself up against the headboard at least. "Just a comment, I thought, and apparently it offended him." After a very long pause, Ari finally asked, "Can I meet him?" Thats my que! Calm down. It is not like we can just shift in the middle of her bedroom. "We are going to need to go somewhere else. He is too large to be inside." "I know where we can go." With that, Ari jumped from the bed. She rummaged through her dresser drawer quickly and ran into the bathroom, closing the door behind her. I think she is more excited to meet me than be around you. If Dante were a man I would wipe the smirk, I knew he was wearing, right off his face. A moment later, Ari came out of the restroom. She was wearing a pair of black leggings and an oversized rocker t-shirt. She threw on a comfortable looking hoodie and walked out into the living room. "Are you sure you are feeling up to it? You were just really sick tonight." "I need to see this for myself, Ian." She sighed at me. I nodded in response and we left her apartment and headed for my truck. Once we were inside the truck and moving, she directed me around the small town. It didn't take long before we were out of the main town and in the forest area surrounding it. Ari had us go a little further. We drove for about 20 more minutes. Finally, coming to a small pull off area. We got out and Ari turned the flashlight on her phone. I followed behind her since she seemed to know exactly where she was going. After walking for a few minutes, we came to a beautiful waterfall in the middle of the forest. The moonlight shined through the trees above it. Showing the beauty of the water in the night. There were large boulders around the pool of water at the bottom. "This is breath taking," I said. "I stumbled on it a few years back. I just needed time for myself to think." Ari said to me. Not looking away from the waterfall either. "Okay. So now we are nowhere near anyone." She turned her body towards me. "I am going to need to go behind a tree and strip. I don't have extra clothes with me and don't feel like ripping them." I walked back behind a tree we had passed on our way there. I put my clothes aside and let Dante take control. Finally! That was all Dante said as we shifted. We slowly walked back out into the small clearing. We heard Ari catch her breath. Dante slowly walked towards her. To our surprise, she didn't shy away from Dante though. "You were telling the truth." She said in a whisper. Dante came to stand right in front of Ari. Ari then went back a few feet and sat on a boulder near the pool of water. Dante sat and then lied down on the damp grass. Dante then army crawled over to where Ari sat. Again, when she made no movement to run off, Dante put his large head in her lap. Ari seemed at a loss, then she raised her hand and put it on Dante's head. Stroking the spot between his eyes and up his forehead between his ears. "No way you would have fit in my room, huh Dante?" Ari finally chuckled. Dante relished the sound. Taking the opportunity to give her cheek a lick. I rolled my eyes. Listen, you have had her to yourself this whole time. Have I complained? No! Whatever I responded to Dante. After a few more minutes of Ari petting Dante, I was able to convince him to go back to the tree we had changed behind. Ari and I still needed to get through a few things. We shifted and I got my clothes back on in record time. I walked back out to find Ari still seated but staring up at the night sky. When I got closer, I sat on one of the other boulders near hers. We were both quiet. "So where do we go from here?" Ari asked, breaking the silence. "I guess the first question is, do you still want me around? In your life?" Another thoughtful moment. "Yes." If I didn't have wolf hearing I would have missing it. "Before we continue, though, there are a few things you need to know."
