CHAPTER 2- The Rude Stranger

1125 Words
The next day, as early as 6 a.m., I woke up and took a shower. After I was done, I picked out my favorite outfit: high-waisted jeans, a white baggy crop top, and white sneakers. I quickly got dressed because I didn’t want to be late on my first day. After fixing my hair, I decided not to do much makeup—just a little lip gloss. ‎I grabbed my favorite shoulder bag and carefully packed my books, writing materials, and a few personal necessities before heading downstairs. ‎ ‎The cool morning breeze brushed against my skin as I walked across the campus, nervously looking around at the unfamiliar environment. Students filled every corner, laughing and talking like they had known each other forever while I awkwardly clutched my bag. ‎ ‎I was so busy staring at the massive buildings that I didn’t realize I had wandered into the parking lot . I pulled out my phone and checked the school map, trying to navigate my way around the unfamiliar campus. ‎ ‎I was too focused on checking the map on my phone to notice where the hell I was standing until a cold voice suddenly spoke behind me. ‎"Move." ‎I turned around quick, startled by the harsh tone. ‎A tall guy stood there, his dark eyes fixed on me with clear irritation. Tattoos covered parts of his arms and neck , and silver piercings lined his ears, eyebrow and lip. He looked like the type of asshole people crossed the street to avoid. ‎Confused, I glanced around. "Excuse me?" ‎"You're blocking my f*****g bike," he said flatly. ‎I immediately stepped aside. "You could've said that nicely." ‎He let out a humorless scoff. "And you could stop acting so damn clueless." ‎His words caught me off guard. ‎"What the hell's your problem?" I muttered. ‎He grabbed his helmet from the motorcycle before finally looking at me again. ‎"You talk too f*****g much." ‎The boys standing nearby laughed quietly while embarrassment burned through me. ‎Before getting on his bike, he looked me over briefly, his expression unreadable. ‎"Stay the f**k out of my way." ‎Then he started the engine and drove off, leaving me standing there in complete disbelief. ‎I was still shocked by what had just happened. ‎“How can anyone be so rude for no reason?” I muttered to myself. ‎ ‎I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. There was no point thinking about it anymore—I needed to find my class. ‎I quickly checked my phone again, turning the map back on and following the directions carefully. I walked past groups of students laughing and chatting, trying not to get distracted or lost in the crowd. ‎After a few minutes of walking through the busy campus, I finally spotted the building I was looking for. My class was just ahead. ‎ ‎I stood in front of the classroom door for a moment, hesitating. My heart was beating a little faster than normal as I adjusted the strap of my bag. ‎“It’s just a class,” I whispered to myself before finally pushing the door open. ‎The room was almost empty—only two or three students were already seated, quietly going through their phones or notes. ‎Relief washed over me. At least I wasn’t late. ‎I stepped inside, my footsteps soft against the floor as I looked around for a seat. The early silence of the classroom made everything feel calmer, but I still couldn’t shake off the nervous feeling in my chest. ‎ ‎After a few minutes of waiting, the classroom slowly began to fill up. Soon after, the lecturer walked in and started the lesson. I stayed very attentive, focusing on every detail being explained. ‎The class was Introduction to Acting, one of my courses for my English major. I carefully took down notes, thinking about how every detail might help me as a future writer. ‎ ‎The lecture continued smoothly when the classroom door suddenly creaked open. ‎Every head turned. ‎Sebastian walked in first, completely unfazed, as if arriving late was the most normal thing in the world. Behind him were his three friends—each of them equally intimidating, all with tattoos, piercings, and that same careless confidence that made it clear they didn’t follow rules. ‎They didn’t even bother apologizing. ‎The lecturer simply glanced at them and continued teaching, clearly used to their behavior. ‎They made their way to the back of the class and sat down like they owned the place. ‎Whispering immediately spread across the room, and a few girls couldn’t hide their excitement, stealing glances at them. ‎I was about to look away when my eyes landed on him properly. ‎My breath caught. ‎It was him—the same guy from the parking lot. ‎The one who had embarrassed me without a single ounce of remorse. ‎I quickly looked away, my grip tightening slightly on my pen, trying to act normal even though my heart had just dropped. A few seconds passed, but I could feel it—someone looking. ‎Slowly, against my better judgment, I lifted my eyes again. ‎Sebastian was already staring at me. ‎Not confused. Not surprised. Just… calm. Like he had been waiting for me to notice him. ‎Our eyes locked for a brief moment, and I felt my chest tighten. ‎Then, almost lazily, he leaned back in his chair and looked away first, as if I wasn’t worth holding his attention for long. ‎A small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he turned to whisper something to one of his friends. ‎Heat rushed to my face. I immediately forced myself to focus on the front of the class, my heart beating too fast for no reason I wanted to admit. ‎ ‎When the class finally ended, chairs scraped and students began packing up. I stayed seated for a second longer, trying to steady myself. ‎The moment the lecturer walked out, the atmosphere in the room changed completely. ‎Almost instantly, girls rushed toward the back of the class, surrounding Sebastian and his friends before they could even properly stand up. Their voices filled the room—laughing, calling his name, trying to get his attention. It was honestly so annoying to watch. ‎I tightened my grip on my bag. ‎As soon as the class was over, I quickly left without turning back. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
