Mollie stared at his retreating back in a daze and couldn’t hear Ciara’s calling “Mollie… Mollie…”
Helpless, Ciara shook her shoulder and asked “What happened? Are you alright?”
Mollie came out of her trance and looked at Ciara. She heard her asking again “Why are you staring at them? I have told you to not look at them. We are lucky that they didn’t do anything to us.”
Mollie shook her head and said “Are you done? Let’s go back to the class.”
Ciara looked down at her lunch box and said “But you didn’t finish yet. First, finish your food then we will go. There is still sometimes left to finish the lunch break.”
Mollie didn’t want to eat anymore but she also didn’t want to disappoint her new friend, so she smiled a little at her and finished her food.
