Mollie was too scared to go out of the room. She sat down in the middle of the bed hugging her knees and her eyes were fixed on the closed door fearfully. Various thoughts were pouring into her mind. Should she tell about his misbehave to Bruno? Would he believe her? He was his cousin with whom he grew up, but she came to his life only a few days ago, and their understanding was not deep enough. More on that, they got married not because of love but due to the need of each other. What if he didn’t trust her words? She was feeling very restless and started rocking back and forth. She lost the track of time and continued sitting there, looking at the door in a daze.
Who knew how much time had passed when she heard a knock on the door followed by Elijah’s voice “Mollie, open the door.”
