When Charoen stirred from sleep, faint light filtered through the frosted glass of the attic room. With the gun metal ear rings and choker floating in her mind and a silver ear stud glinting in their midst, she opened her eyes to the soft blue sheet covering Rohan, making him look innocent in his sleep, so innocent that she could not help but stare at him. She smiled at his stud glinting at his lobe, rested her hand on his chest, feeling the rise and fall with the breathing. Rohan stirred. He opened his eyes, and a smile lighted up his face.  Charoen snuggled closer, laying her head on his chest. She pointed at the window. “The guava tree.
