“But I became a human,” she replied, perplexed by the change of direction. “Isn't that what you wanted?”
“You must master the transformation; you must revert to your lupine form!”
“What? Why should I go back to being a wolf?” I stood up abruptly, feeling sharp pains in my stomach. He seemed to notice my distress and turned to me.
“It's not a choice; your body is already showing signs of reverting to the lupine form,” the Alpha explained bluntly. “You will learn to control the transformations and master your different forms.”
“Can I remain in human form forever?” I smiled hopefully at the idea.
“No!” He shouted vehemently. “Why would you stay in such a fragile and vulnerable form?”
