I groaned as I heard the muffled voices of the girls outside of the room, narrowing my eyes just a little when I heard the mumbling of "There's a girl in there! I think he said Zen maybe? Do you think he has a girlfriend?" "No way, Ember! Let me hear!" "Flare wait!" I felt a twitch hit my body as I pulled on my breifs and started towards the door and opened it up enough that I could see them but they couldn't see past me. I just stared at them silently as Flare and Ember looked up at me with large eyes. "Run!" Ember said and took off, Flare right behind her with Ashe. Pyro stood there staring directly at me for a long moment before I saw the realization click and he took off too. I clicked my tongue, slamming the door shut and stepping back before I walked over towards Zen. My eyes took in her naked body for a long moment, cursing this entire perdiciment before I held out my hand to her. "Let me see your phone." She seemed confused by the statement, blinking her eyes as she slowly handed me her phone after unlocking it for me to use. I fiddled around with it, slowly pulling up the screen that I needed and then put my contact information into it and saved it, sending a text to myself so her number would come up on my phone and then handed it back to her, holding her gaze as I did. "There's a few options here..." I started, clearing my throat. "If you happen to decide you want to do any of them that is. If you want me to explain what in the f**k is happening and why i'm being so weird, we can talk about it later. Just call me or text me or if you want to just come find me. You know where I work at." Shit. I hated this more than anything. Scrubbing a hand over my face slowly, I closed my eyes for just a moment and tried to clear my head of any thoughts that had been trying to invade. Especially the one where I kicked my kids out for the night and just had my way with this woman the rest of the night. She was f*****g gorgeous, and I was f*****g up already and if that wasn't a testament to how shitting my first impressions were, I don't know what was. Watching as she started to grab her clothes and pull them on piece by piece, I did my best to figure out what to do or how to go about things without it being too rough. I wasn't at least being a severe d**k right now or anything, well I was but it could've been worse. I was just being secretive and needed her to leave and it probably would've been easier to explain I had kids but that just wasn't where my brain was at right now. I never was one for doing the smarter thing. "And... to make sure you have a reason to come find me besides possible curiosity?" I pulled the ring off my left hand and placed it in her palm. "Family ring, you don't seem like the rude type and it's important to me. So now you have to eventually come find me unless you absolutely want me to hate my life choices." "Well, I mean, I am wearing your... roommates' clothes with uh..." She seemed to pause and stare down at the face on the clothing, visibly grimacing, "Fifteen-year-old Justin Belber? Trust me, I already planned on bringing this back..." Opening a dresser up I pulled out a pair of grey sweatpants and pulled them on my body quickly before glancing back over at her, frowning. "Unfortunately, I have to go kick someone's ass so that means you especially need to go, now." I cleared my throat. "Do you have a reliable way to leave? I can call you a ride if not, I don't mind paying." "I mean we could easily get you out the front door and no one would see you too." I started rambling not thinking about what I was saying as I moved. "I got it." She said before pausing. "Thanks, so, do you want me to climb out the window?" I stared at her horrified by the words that just came out of her mouth. Did I want her to do what? I wasn't that much of a douchebag, did I come off as that big of a douchebag? Holy f*****g hell. Maybe I really did need to reevaluate my life. "Kidding, I'm kidding." She said after a moment. "Front door it is." She got up quickly, grabbing her phone and left before I could even say another word. I followed after her quickly, shutting the door behind her and stepping into the kitchen where I could still keep an eye on her. The last thing I wanted was for something to happen to her. It didn't take long though for a car to come up to her, the 'Uver' logo lighting up the front window as they exchanged a few words and she got in. As soon as the car started to roll away though, I turned on my heel, my jaw locking immediately as I glanced around the house. Making my way to the furthest bedroom in the back, I threw the door opened and stared straight at Pyro who was staring at me with large eyes full of shock. "What in the f**k was that, Pyro? What are you up to?" I growled at him. "Nothing." "Don't you dare f*****g lie." I folded my arms over my chest. "You damn well know how the girls are and you told them, didn't you?" "We just get so tired of seeing you always so... lonely." He frowned. "You're a kid, Pyro!" I threw my arms up in the air, visibly annoyed. "Let me handle my life and you worry about starting your own. Before I end it." "Oh, well... I mean, you're going to be really pissed then..." I felt a twitch in my eye at those words. I didn't even bother speaking, just stared directly at him. I saw the quick look of panic flash on Pyro's face before he cleared his throat and tried his best to sound calm. His eyes flashing pure black for a brief moment as his demon side seemed to flicker through. "Ember and Flare are currently working on finding out where she lives... and works... and goes for fun?" He said quickly, flinching. "We both know we're not going to be able to stop them..." "Dead!" I groaned. "You're all f*****g dead!" "Oh, come on now... Dad..." He stared at me, holding his hands up. "I didn't think they'd go that far with this!" "Yes, you did, don't even try to bullshit." I smacked him upside his head. "You f*****g knew how they are and did it anyway and now I have to make sure they're not stalking her. What if it was just a one-night stand, numbskull? What then?" "Ah but you're saying that like it's not..." "I highly suggest shutting up before I take you back out of this world, kid." He nodded his head slowly. "Shutting up, working on that now."
